Also the same reason why a lot of Southerners move up to Hull. I know of a case were a Hackney dustman, who bought his council house for a song, sold it for a huge profit, took early redundancy from Hackney council and moved up to Cottingham. He paid just short of £350k for his house, ten years ago and either side of him lives an airline pilot and a company director, both still working ( at the time) The ex dustman isn't ( or wasn't then) 60 yet. That's the North South divide for you.

This Skintdad on twitter if you partake in that social media platform is the same, just moved to Hull from the South and has been able to effort to buy a house rather than rent in the south.

Off Topic. Some transfer news.

Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock has agreed personal terms with Newcastle and will travel to the north-east for a medical ahead of a permanent transfer.

The deal for the 21-year-old is expected to be in the region of £25m and comes after a successful loan spell with Steve Bruce's side last season.

Quick Q - i have probably missed it in this thread - but is there any chance of Huddlestone signing? Last I heard was on the HDM saying he & GM were having a 'sit down'

Sorry for going "off topic" and talking about transfer/incomings

Vietnam is a beautiful country with beautiful weather and beautiful people and a place I'm considering though Goa is top of my list at present with Costa Rica not far behind. Belize gives pretty good retirement visas for Brits.

How many miles round trip is that to watch city (Belize)?
