Reviews should be conducted after every single tourney. Southgate should of gone for it, i think the tactics were poor especially second half
It's a joke innit. Everybody pretending they go on holiday and don't check in on here because they're to cool for that lol
It's a concern for sure. I can remember see pics of one particular Prem game in recent times, and the crush in the street outside to get in the ground had not been controlled. It might have been Fulham, trying to cast memory back here.
How we got through that second half without conceding another two or three goals I'll never know. The game changed from Italian control to total domination with the two Italian subs on 55 minutes. And Southgate did - nothing. Criminal.
To be fair when we were their age we all bunked into raves football and festivals in the 80s. I used to bunk into the Bridge over the railway tracks regularly. Those Middle Aged men knocking kids out for bunking in were the same people who did Two to the turn of the stile in the 80s
This completely agree. In the stadium we were very quiet in second half and delighted to get to extra time at 1-1 Like I said after Denmark game all this stuff about Southgate being a genius delaying his subs is bollocks. see Scotland game for not making a triple sub early
Whilst you’re here Bossman, you need to change my username to whatever CFC wants. I owe him 4 months twat
They couldn't do one to a turn nowadays. There's one in particular who looks like they'd have to open up the ambulance gates to get in.
Why not, if you are just lying by the pool or in your room doing nothing why wouldn't you pick up the phone and have a browse.
I still remember when we had nigh on 18k in my lots tinpot ground in the 80's, I still remember back to that day and thinking, close the fooking gates. I'm sure it was before Hillsborough, a disaster always waiting to happen.
Ha. I let a skinny kid try and bunk in with me last night but he got caught. he was polite and asked me first tbf
I've been awake for days and I can feel myself changing which doesn't usually end well. I'm going to try my best to get some sleep now before it turns serious. Take care everybody and good night, see you when I'm back.
I don't think it was too much for Southgate to work out given the players at his disposal. There is the likelihood he thought, 'well my cautious approach got us this far...' that he could think of nothing else. But by 96 mins the Italians had taken off all their best attacking players and they were almost forced to play for penalties. At that point our subs should've been to take control of the game to win. I thought that was supposed to be the game plan tbh. Also it's a shame we didn't learn anything from Spain's 2nd half against Italy. By 90 mins the Italians were dead on their feet and crawled there way to pens. In the final, Italy had full control and most of the possession in the 2nd half and were able to cope much better in extra time. And yet we have a better attack than Spain but couldn't manage the same.
Anyway back to what I was saying earlier, albeit messing about. Why did Southgate pull out his shopping list when it came to pens? Surely he mentally already knows, and the players themselves would have been prepared, no? please log in to view this image
