Fans got into the aisles of Wembley without tickets, they were standing and blocking people from getting to their seats in a certain section. I've listened to several accounts from witnesses that had tickets.

If you'd watched the footage, you would have seen fans stormed in when they got through the barriers. Security was poor, the Hillsborough report was supposed to stop stuff like this happening. Once again those in charge of the event failed. This could cost us future events.

Why do Liverpool fans get sensitive when Hillsborough is mentioned, it was subject to a report, parts of which dictated future legislation, it's going to get mentioned, it's part of how we operate today.

Didn't think Arsenal had any fans left on here, I thought @PINKIE had chased them all off. <whistle>

Two news reports stick in my mind about Ingurland louts in last couple of decades. One, from 2006, was a documentary with England fans in Germany. Apart from the usual loutish, oafish racism and thuggery to be expected, they commandeered a local square and, when a Brazillian babe done up like Carmen Miranda sashayed up to them for a laugh and a chat - they threw bottles at her. So utterly classless and lacking any style or grace.

The second was the 2016 Euros in France. Again a mob in a square, singing songs and chants about Brexit, the Germans, the French, the Irish, and finally focussing their forensic wit on some gypsy kids, followed by the ubiquitous throwing of beer bottles and cans. I hear, though, that it went well in Russia - I suspect that the usual Louttishness Brigade were shorter in numbers, and those that got there were confronted with something a bit tougher than dancing Brazillian women and Gypsy children.

Just sensitive about the ticketless fans and rushing barricades aspect of the narrative. Still. if you say you've read the Hillborough report I'll assume that's not what you meant it to come over as.

    Soz, as you were. :emoticon-0112-wonde

The Russians kicked their arses mate, they didn't fook about with them either. There was no dancing around handbags, it was actually quite embarrassing to watch, real men against English louts. You wouldn't have seen better at a tenpin bowling alley.

No prob. It's not the first time since the report we've seen shhite like this happen, and in no way is it a dig at Liverpool, it's just my way of saying nothing has changed. If you haven't got a ticket you shouldn't be getting in, this isn't the 50's anymore where you can find pics of people spilling on to the pitch. Those days are long gone, and as much as those people wanted to see the game, they don't realise the risk they impose on others, many families with children, when you start stampeding. Over exaggeration maybe, but after recent events of Old Trafford being broken into, something once again needs to be done/changed.

    It's incredible isn't it.

I posted this on another thread. It's quite unbelievable that they released this on the day of the biggest game that the majority of the country had always been waiting for. It reeks of them trying to stay relevant 30 years later. To be blunt, nobody cares anymore. Half of the football supporters that go to the games now weren't even alive when Hillsborough happened. They even attack the Queen the despicable scum bastards.

No mention of Heysel and how they were themselves responsible for ending Italian lives and ruining playing in Europe for English teams. We were playing Italy last night, if they weren't self-absorbed and attention seeking, they could have said sorry in this post and wished the Italians all the best.

It wouldn't have been all about them then, though.

    I've stooped low?

I didn't release something like that on the day of the game. I've spoke the truth, honestly not looking for a bite. I'm not sure why it infuriates Liverpool fans so much. Other people are allowed to talk about it and have views on it <ok>

It has to be said you're right, it needs to be discussed afterall, if Kane has scored, Saka wouldn't have had to step up like the steel of balls he has. Shame Kane didn't show the same steel in 90 mins of the game. :bandit:

    Your go now...

Everyone's allowed to talk about it and Liverpool fans don't get upset about it until someone tries using it for their own agenda. Hillsborough happened and Hysel did and the people affected have to live with it. You post your ****.

I'm only reposting. Liverpool fans aren't special, you know? It was your fans that put that **** in the public domain on the day of the final having a go at England fans. It's obviously going to be responded, too. The fact that they don't like people to talk about back then and have an opinion out loud, speaks volumes, imo.

Anyway @Spurlock does have a point.

I watched in dismay when Southgate pulled out his shopping list on the pitch after extra-time. You'd think for someone that had an order of only five items, he'd actually know what's being delivered off by heart.

There's still problems from time-to-time with fans being not so much ticketless, but with abysmal stewarding and organisation, Think United were playing in France about a decade ago and it all went tits up through shambolic organisation by the French. And at any major football event, you simply have to prepare to repel ticketless fans trying to blag themselves in. Even had the gate been 300k last night, there would be thousands still trying to get in.
