Forest fans speak well of him. Solid experienced full back even if not going to get people too excited. Good signing for me on a free
Absolutely, he's played higher than this level his entire career, and like you say, good solid pro. Would be happy with him.
not sure if already posted, apparently nixon said sanderson deal a no go...shame like but expected, pretty sure he will have far better offers than we can offer right now, was hoping he felt a part of the team and that might have swayed him.
Just been thru all of Nixon’s tweets and he’s not mentioned Sanderson. So if it’s posted anywhere it’s Chinese whispers or made up. Or I’m wrong of course
I’ve read it today I don’t know who by I’ll see if I can find it Dion Sanderson - Sunderland In total, Sanderson featured in 26 League One games for Sunderland. He scored one goal for them in these 26 appearances. The Wearside outfit want him back on a permanent deal. The Mail Online’s Simon Jones wrote that Sunderland had an offer of £1m knocked back. Wolves are holding out for £2million for the talented youngster. Jones confirmed that Newcastle United had edged towards that valuation with a £1.5million bid of their own. Nixon conversation casts doubt over Sunderland Sanderson hopes However, in conversation with a follower on his Twitter feed, Sun reporter Alan Nixon seems to pour cold water on any Sunderland interest. some of it here mate
Is it just me or is anyone else getting impatient now?? What a cracking Keeper he is by the way. Im not sure whats going on but i was under the impression we had a good plan and things were on the up with our new Backroom team. The season starts in a month ffs, why are we getting left behind??
He had an outstanding game against us but is he a cracking keeper? Charlton fans don’t seem that bothered he’s gone.
I just think Burge, Amos and MacGillivray are all much of a muchness. I personally couldn’t see much point in using up budget and a squad place on bringing in the likes of them whilst Burge is still here. An upgrade in the shape of a Premier League loan would be a different matter.
I don't have this downer on Burge that some do. He had a dozen different defences/systems to cope with last season ... ... a settled back line and you'd barely notice him.
I only used Amos as an example. Im seeing lots of players that would massively improve us moving to other clubs/rivals . Ive kept quiet but its becoming frustrating now .
