I can't ever remember Camp actually diving, I'm not Burges biggest fan , but like has been mentioned before unless we can get a Premier League player on loan like the young lad from Stoke, signing any league 1 keeper on a permanent is not really going to be an improvement.
No matter what anyone thinks about Burge, before the collapse of our defence in the last 12 games he was actually statistically one of the best in the league

I think Burge has the makings of a good keeper, his shot stopping is pretty good and his record on penalties has to be one of the best in the leagues. H e doesn't command his area that well but who can blame him with some of the defensive blunders late on in the season. Since I've supported Sunderland we've had some great goalkeepers with Pickford being one of the best but even Jordan can make mistakes. I'd stick with Burge for the moment at least and sort out the core of defence, midfield and strikers.

I would also like a premiership goalie but it’s not going to happen, so let’s give him another chance and see if he’s got any better.
Ps I would buy a complete premiership team but that’s not going to happen either <laugh>

I think most can see the weaknesses in Burge. You either except that to be playing in league 1 he is going to have some weak areas in his game. He is a top keeper for this league in my eyes.

Same can be said across the whole team. Some might be make the step up as we do but they would not be in this league if they had obvious championship quality in every aspect of their game.

If we can sign better fair enough but it's likely to be a young lad in loan or even buying who needs minutes to prove his quality.

They are mate, ive never been convinced by him, but when the stats are for goals conceded he can wet his knickers every time a ball comes in the box. As long as it doesn't end up in the net I'll take that.
Don't get me wrong I can understand why people would like him replaced as he doesn't really instill much confidence, but I do think that he will have a lot more confidence when he has a settled back 4 for most of the season

Don't have a look at RTG as that seems the only thing will accept from the new owner

It's pathetic! Donald still getting the blame from some of them over there...almost every promising thread turns into something toxic.....glad I've abandoned ship.

Spot on
No use comparing him to some of the top goalies we've had.
We've also had a lot worse lately and he's one of the best in this league and improving.

The wums are worse. They'll wind you up and then report you. I got a warning for telling someone to f off even though I hadn't. I'd said if someone wanted to endlessly support Sd and the shocking financial results we saw they could f off. Clearly 1 person saw it as an a front.

Yes, there are more than a few “ precious” people over there, I’m sorry to say.
When I first joined, perhaps 15 years ago, the football debate was second to none.
Now, it isn’t long before any sensible post is met with toxic rhetoric and piss taking.
I’ve had enough of it.

All this advanced data we are using to find players and it brings up an injury prone 32 year old..

Sources: Ex-Forest and Villa star Lichaj arrives at Sunderland as Johnson lines up offer
Former Aston Villa and Hull defender Eric Lichaj has arrived at Sunderland for a trial with a view to a permanent move, Football Insider understands.

The USA international, 32, is a free agent after leaving Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk but is only just back to fitness following four months out with a hip problem.

Decent player going forward. Would be very strong at this level I’d think.
