I just logged in to twitter to see what was 'trending' on the news...funnily enough #1 Lib dem win #2 GB news fails...
Surrey you need to get out more mate. This obviously means so much to you. As for Twitter and Trending... It changes all the time. When I looked Starmer out was at No2. Go back in an hour and something else will be trending.
Actually I think you have it on the wrong Trending... 1 Limps 2nd Labour 3rd Eng/Scot You need to get off News trending.
Jeez, that's a weak reply, Strolls. You're getting yourself worked up because a football crowd doesn't like taking the knee to a Marxist organisation, and some Neanderthal racists continue to tweet abuse from their bedrooms when their team loses
in year ending March 2020, there were 105,090 hate crimes recorded by the police in England and Wales, excluding Greater Manchester police, an increase of 8 per cent compared with year ending March 2019 (97,446 offences) Essentially doubled since the referendum Hate crime is defined as ‘any criminal offence which is perceived, by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice towards someone based on a personal characteristic.’ This common definition was agreed in 2007 by the police, Crown Prosecution Service, Prison Service (now the National Offender Management Service) and other agencies that make up the criminal justice system. There are five centrally monitored strands of hate crime: race or ethnicity religion or beliefs sexual orientation disability transgender identity Source: GOV.U.K.
I think you'll find that these so-called crimes are actually justifiable attacks by ordinary, right-thinking people on dangerous Marxist revolutionaries. Either that or they're attacks on Jewish people committed by Jeremy Corbyn.
Or it’s simply that ‘there’s more reporting nowadays’……or ‘These aren’t real crimes, they are just snowflakes reporting hurt feelings’ (actually they are genuine criminal offences which have been motivated by hatred of a particular personal characteristic)
Right. There have been no attacks on Jewish people by Muslims. No threatened attack on Jewish politicians at a Labour Party conference. This, despite a recorded 82% increase in crimes against Jewish people in a failing multicultural society . Let's blame Brexit. Attacks on Asian people during Pandemic? Blame Brexit. Islamaphobic attacks after extremist atrocities. Brexit again. 261% rise in attacks on LGBT people since 2011? Brexit must have inflamed people, apparently even before the referendum was thought of. And by the way, the figures have nothing to do with crimes being recorded more efficiently. It's all ****ing Brexit Fact is, all these hate crimes were carried out by the skinheads we see on our streets daily with swastikas and We Love Nigel tattoos, chasing EU citizens down the A20 to the ferry terminal at Dover. Brexit has a lot to answer for.
Yeah that chart is correct but I have looked at it in more detail and hate crime did go up a bit after the Brexit vote but dropped again and it then went up after the terrorist attacks and other spikes happened with Israel/middle-east problems and a big jump at lockdown. Also it's not just white people that are causing race crimes (majority) but plenty of people from all ethnic backgrounds. Still we can blame Brexit.
What I'd find funny if it wasn't so serious, is that supporters of Corbyn's Labour, one of the most antisemitic political parties in Europe since the 1930's, so serious that it was investigated by the EHRC, are claiming that racism in the UK is down to Brexit!
Sadly you will always get a few idiots. Like if you voted Brexit, you are some right-wing uneducated thug. Truth is Goldie, that certain people just cannot accept the referendum result and will continue to bash Brexit at every opportunity. Sit back and smile. As for Corbyn's Labour... just remember 1200.... that's 1200 complaints. Found guilt by the HR organisation. Never in our countries political history has this happened before. Nice bunch
Boris Johnson says his priority is 'public health' as Uefa chiefs face fury over 'deeply irresponsible' threat to strip the UK of Euro 2020 final unless 2,500 foreign VIPs are spared quarantine to attend the game at Wembley despite lockdown extension Uefa have threatened to relocate the Euro 2020 final to Hungary this summer This will happen unless the UK Government provides a quarantine exemption Ministers are discussing a proposal to exempt 2,500 officials from isolating But move would be likely to spark a furious public backlash amid holiday row Find out the latest Euro 2020 news including fixtures, live action and results here By David Wilcock, Whitehall Correspondent and Jack Wright For Mailonline Published: 10:06 AEST, 18 June 2021 | Updated: 02:21 AEST, 19 June 2021 Boris Johnson insisted that public health was his top priority today amid fury at Uefa bigwigs for threatening to move the Euro 2020 final out of the UK unless its VIPs are allowed to skip Covid quarantine. Ministers are in talks with the European footballing body after it warned the prestige game could be switched from Wembley to Budapest unless some 2,500 bigwigs are given preferential treatment before attending. The demand prompted a ferocious backlash this morning, coming just days after England's Freedom Day was postponed for four weeks due to a surge in Indian variant cases. Britons are also banned from taking foreign holidays in all but a handful of countries without quarantining, for fear of bringing more of the virus into the country. Mr Johnson admitted today that the Government would speak to Uefa and 'see if we can make some sensible accommodations, but the priority obviously has to be public health'. SNP MP Alyn Smith said the move was 'deeply, deeply irresponsible' and Tory Andrew Bridgen added: 'When lockdown has been extended in the UK it's a kick in the teeth to read that up to 2500 'VIPs' may be allowed into the UK for the #EURO2020 final without quarantine restrictions. Especially when double vaccinated Brits can't go on holiday!' Labour's shadow culture secretary Jo Stevens said: 'Tens of thousands of fans have tickets for games at Wembley, which has been ear-marked to host these games for years. 'Businesses, supply chains and workers have all been preparing for them. To suddenly change at the last minute because a few UEFA bigwigs are worried about having to quarantine would be outrageous. 'UEFA should remember that it was the passion of fans in this country that saw off the threat of the European Super League - to repay the favour by removing games from Wembley would be a disgraceful betrayal. Football should be for the people - not the comfort of a few officials.'
