Remember the season we binned off Hoddle and had David Pleat as caretaker for what felt like 2/3 of our games? Or how we clearly didn't have a plan in place for the replacement, as Santini didn't announce he was quitting the France team until the following June, before arriving on our doorstep earlier than expected? That's an example of what happens if we don't have a clear plan in place nor a successor lined up
And this is the point: if we're getting rid of the ubermensch we need the replacement locked down now, not for PR purposes but because we need them to come in at the earliest opportunity and impose what they want on the team - and if we enter the realm of uncertainty by sacking now with no plan in place, we will only put off the period where they can begin to reshape the team
Yep I do...keeping JM has killed any chance of top 4... we have had plenty of chances against beatable teams to get into the top 4 and have blown them all.
Anyone but JM would have done better.
We have thrown away points against Palace (2), Arsenal (3), United (3) , Wolves(2), Newcastle (2), Fulham (2) and Everton (2) ... that's 16 points lost from winning positions in the last 22 games. We'd be pretty much be certain of top for we'd kept hold of just 10 of them.
