Yep I do...keeping JM has killed any chance of top 4... we have had plenty of chances against beatable teams to get into the top 4 and have blown them all. Anyone but JM would have done better. We have thrown away points against Palace (2), Arsenal (3), United (3) , Wolves(2), Newcastle (2), Fulham (2) and Everton (2) ... that's 16 points lost from winning positions in the last 22 games. We'd be pretty much be certain of top for we'd kept hold of just 10 of them.
Well wasn't that enjoyable evening, I so look forward to watching Spurs play at the moment. Draw was probably about right in the end they were not much better than us and their comedy defending was a match for ours. If Kane has done his ankle then we might as well send City a note from his mum saying that they can have the trophy. I thought Hugo had a decent game, and Gylfis strike was quite beautiful.
He is obviously here til the end of the season. It will screw up our pre season (especially with the Euros to come) and next season. Levy has royally messed up
Thought we were the better side, created the better chances and should have won the game. Two slight defensive mistakes and the ball dropped to your main man, and he finished both with aplomb. Given our injuries and recent form that was a good performance from us, I thought James was different class.
Draw’s no use for anyone, doesn’t give us any progress in the league and guarantees Jose still in the job tomorrow (not that I think he would have been sacked if we’d lost but the draw extinguishes any hope).
Nah but I question the payment we made to Lyon. And to Betis. And to Ajax. And to Wolves. And to Newcastle. And to PSG.
I have never been so disinterested in us being in a final. If you offered me a 2 goal defeat I would bite your hand off. It is impossible to enjoy watching us. This is the worst football we have had to watch week in week out since before Jol...17 years ago! If I know what it going to happen how can the special one not? I also do not get how the players allow themselves to let us down. The whole club is rotten from top to bottom.
And who would have come in and changed that? As any long-term replacement won't be leaving their current job until the end of the season, either because they don't want to switch clubs mid-season or their clubs won't let them go, that would have left us needing someone who can carry us for the last x-many games of the season (for the sake of argument let's place Day Zero on the morning after getting knocked out of the FA Cup), and who exactly was there? Case in point, Guus Hiddnk is somebody who could have come in (if Uncle Roman doesn't still have his foot on his coattails) yet he wasn't available because he's busy proving that Curacao has a national football team even though most of their squad is made up of former Holland U18 players who never got into the Dutch team, while the list of managers who were available at the time reads something like this Rafa Benitez Lucien Favre Oscar Garcia Christian Gross Eddie Howe Frank Lampard Garry Monk Alan Pardew Jose Pekerman Tony Pulis Giovani von Brockhorst Patrick Vieira David Wagner Not exactly a list of people who could steady the ship for the remainder of the season, and several names on that list would've sent the fanbase apoplectic if they were announced
I'd take most of those over Mourinho right now...even ex-Spur, Pardew Just getting Mourinho out the door would lift the mood of the whole club.
Like I originally said, short term appointment of Redknapp would have given us something to cheer. Levy chose to continue a car crash ... it has been obvious for months . If they had no plan B then he is negligent. I ain't a knee jerk supporter but this is a farce. I can cope with not winning but the football we have been subjected to since mid December has been unacceptable. 27 points from 22 games is relegation form but it is the turgid football that is completely unacceptable
