Yes, because if O Nien drops an automatic promotion ending bollock whilst we have a fit first choice centre back on the bench there will be hell on!

Although I think he is our best defender, the problem is when will he be actually fit enough to return to the first team as he has been out 6 weeks now and probably another couple before he is ready to play? At his age he might need a couple of U23/behind close door games to get up to speed. A lot will depend on form/injuries in the meantime.

It's a difficult one Tees, I reckon once he's up to pace he will get his place back, having said that, before he was injured he wasn't having a great season and a couple of mistakes he made led to goals against us.
I don't think Lee Johnson thinks of a best eleven, I reckon he thinks of an eleven to win the game and subs to change the game if it's not going to plan.
Hopefully his return will add to the depth of our squad and see us through to promotion.

There's no question he's a better defender than O'Nien, but I think it would be foolish to rush him back. Yes, O'Nien may have looked a bit more shaky recently, but we've still got a fantastic defensive record - not only the clean sheets but we've been limiting teams to very few shots on goal.
If we brought Wright back in then conceded a few there'd be people questioning why we changed it.

Back 3 for me. Wright in the middle with Sanderson and 09 either side.

Hume and Gooch as wingbacks.

Would dominate with that IMO.

If he wants to stay back 4 , I wouldn't change it. Not at the moment. The ability to play the ball out from the back is enhanced with 09.

That's it for me although, if Gooch could play defence, I'd switch him and O'Nien.

Hume and O'Nien with McGeady and AOB ahead would beat most teams and Wyke would top 30 goals imo.

I am not sure we should be changing with such a brilliant defensive record. I think Sanderson and O'Nien have become lads who enjoy playing next to each other. If we wanted to go for a 3 then I can see why Wright would make a difference. To be honest I don't think he was in the best form earlier this season and his distribution from the back was very hit and miss - too many long diagonals for me.

Having said that I trust LJ to pick the right team for the right game. Selection headaches are great. Dont forget we also have Connor to come back in as well and he has been superb this season.

I got slated the other week for saying this, but 100%. O’Nien at right back in place of Power.
The games he played there for us proved he is a better RB than some of the RBs we have and much better than Power for all Power has been getting better at that position i think 09 edges him there

O9 has played very well at centre half and let's not forget that we've only conceded one goal in the whole of March with Sanderson and O9 paired together.

However, we will be stronger in the middle of the park with Baily back in at CH and O9 further forward in midfield, so yes, get Baily back in.

I’d go with that setup but with McLaughlin for Gooch.
