The first goal is absolutely vital today, if we get it, we will go on and win easily. If they get it, it will give them something to hang on to, which has been the reason for us dropping so many points this season.

It was the reason but thankfully LJ seems to have addressed that problem.
Hopefully it carries on.

I have to agree.

We can afford to draw against Peterborough and Hull but there's no excuse against Bristol Rovers.

But, as usual, we may have to be patient because they're in a relegation spot and desperate.

Thankfully we're better than them and have threats all over the pitch as well as the bench.

Short of another terrible referee, such as the Lincoln clown, I think this will just be another steely eyed professional win.

I'm not too fussed about 'statement wins' or goal difference ....

... three points, by whatever means, is all I'm interested in.
Just worked out that if we draw with both Hull and Posh and the all three teams win every game other than those two we all end up level on points and it comes down to goal difference. So we need to win and if we can win big in games and we can then afford to draw with both of the other two.

There's no terror in going a goal down anymore in my opinion, we have now got better options up front to change tack, since that humongous fatberg jockingly referred to as the G force ( gut and gutless) have vacated the bench.

Good point mate, hope you are right.

In the last 5 matches the top 6 teams have a total of only 13 wins, and 4 of those are ours. So, only 9 wins for 5 teams in 5 games. Less than 2 wins on average in 5 games. And if you drop Hull, the 4 remaining teams have only 5 wins between them in 5 games. Barely 1 win each in 5 games. Let's hope they keep that up.

That's a good point mate, I've been watching the amount of wins per top team, in the past 5 games, and some are really poor.

Doncaster, the team to watch apparently, have won one.

Peterborough, nailed on to go up, have won one.

Lincoln, nailed on to go up, have won none.

Through the season every other top six team has lost twice the games we have ...

... and we've had a manager change, full takeover, Cup Final and endless injuries.

Johnson has worked wonders tbh.

Nicely put. Very succinct mate.

Good info

I have no idea of what the score will be today or who will score. We will win........and I have a really funny feeling we will be awarded a penalty today!!

We've no idea who'll play or in what system or for how long before it's changed ...

... I can't remember the last time we made half time subs or changed systems so early.

It's strange but always interesting, sometimes exciting.
