An early goal and they could possibly crumble. Confidence is low.

My take from this is simple...

We cannot go into games thinking we have already won! We have to earn the win and play as if our lives depend on it... not stroll around reckoning we are God's gift.

Upsets and banana skins are always likely..unless you are careful.

If we go into this game with the right intent and effort on display.. I expect 3 points

I agree and I think this is part of the much more professional set up LJ has brought to the club.

I don't think LJ will allow that kind of thinking. If any player is strolling around the pitch thinking he's God's gift, I'm sure that there will be a substitution made and the player put back in his place

The first goal is absolutely vital today, if we get it, we will go on and win easily. If they get it, it will give them something to hang on to, which has been the reason for us dropping so many points this season.

    Early goal today please.
Do that and we’ll have too much for these.
    0-2.
Hoping for Gills draw at Hull but mustn’t be greedy.

Hoping the plan is to go all out for an early kill. Then undecided as to wether to keep tempo up for the benefit of goal difference, or ease off to conserve energy for the following games.

    I have to agree.

We can afford to draw against Peterborough and Hull but there's no excuse against Bristol Rovers.

But, as usual, we may have to be patient because they're in a relegation spot and desperate.

Thankfully we're better than them and have threats all over the pitch as well as the bench.

Short of another terrible referee, such as the Lincoln clown, I think this will just be another steely eyed professional win.

I'm not too fussed about 'statement wins' or goal difference ....

... three points, by whatever means, is all I'm interested in.

Please don’t do a ‘Sunderland’ today lads. I really hope the players can handle the pressure. Once again Jones will be a big miss, but if he’s not 100% I would rather he was saved for the Easter weekend.

    <doh>

    There's no such thing ...

... "It would be so typical of Rovers to do Sunderland today (and maybe Ipswich too) on the way to relegation."

"Would be 'very rovers' to get something today after abject defeats to Plymouth and Swindon!"

    We should win today.
Im expecting a workmanlike, disciplined display.
Whilst I would love to see us stick 4 or 5 past them we don't need the goal difference at this point in time. We need points and clean sheets.
    I´d be happy with a 1-0 win

POMO's pressers are like no other.

One of the journalists pointed out that many of our opponents for the run-in will be fighting for promotion or survival. He then asked if that was a good thing.
Johnson's answer sort of went here: https://academy.sportlyzer.com/wiki/arousal-and-performance/

When asked about the prospect of taking all three points, he replied, "As long as we do a number of minute things at a world class level."
Google provided no assistance deciphering that one.

  19. Every match is important from now on in,but it's fixtures like today that make or break it. We need to take charge of this match from minute one and put it to bed without any jitters, good fortune or poor refereeing playing a part. The scoreline doesn't matter. A sound, solid, disciplined 90 minutes tells those around us we can handle it...... the pressure is on them....and we continue our relentless pursuit of promotion. It'll be the Hull and PBoro players who are feeling the heat.
Major regret we can't be there in our massive numbers to support the lads....it would be a fantastic atmosphere down there today!
However,if we win every match from here,we go up as Champions,no matter what anyone else does. It's in our hands. Can't wait me.....Haway me bonny lads!
