I wrote something similar a week or so ago, something like their next 8/9 games looked frightening, well so far they’ve won 1 lost 3 on the spin and their next 5 games look bloody difficult.
Absolutely. Too insuarly focussed on our own so-called flaws to recognise others.
They had a run against the rank and file, now its getting tough it ain't so easy.
Same with Portsmouth.
You could say the same about us though. We've played Burton (24th), MK Dons (13th) Wigan (23rd), Accrington (6th), Swindon (22nd) and Lincoln (1st) since we played Portsmouth so brilliantly and got seven points from those games. What we need is to be consistent and keep scoring these chances and we *should* be alright. Personally I think our team is too young to maintain that consistency, but I'll happily be proven wrong.
Other teams will play the top teams and lose, that'll happen, but suggesting that those teams at the bottom are going to do us favours for the rest of the year is a bit hopeful. Wigan were as good as Burton really, it just shows what happens when our gears click in.
We've turned in 3 dogshit performances all season.

I can't not analyse anything unfortunately, my brain is wired to do just that about everything. I don't think we've played our best anywhere near as often as we could. We haven't been poor many times, we just haven't played as well as we could have. I'm hoping we can put a run together off the back of this and keep putting points on the board.
We came out of the traps at the start of the season just fine.
Just the likes of you 'over analysers' thinking you know more than you do threaten to derail our youngsters.

I certainly wasn't expecting an emphatic result like that, but credit to McCann and the front 3 for turning drought into a deluge, the manager clearly did something to get them scoring again.
Great to see Alfie Jones back, with Smallwood out, he could be pivotal over the coming games and also good to see players like him and Docherty etc being able to be subbed to save them for the weekend.
With Donny losing again, it must be a good time to visit them at the weekend, let's hope we can keep this up on a regular basis now.
As far as the question of teams having games in hand, generally, if it is one or maybe two teams that have games in hand on you I would rather have the points on the board. However, at present, there are several teams with 2 or 3 games in hand, and out of those one or two might well go on a run and win those games in hand. So we have to keep winning now, as I feel losing 9 games already, is really leaving very little margin for error as far as automatic promotion is concerned.
Anyhow, well done the team, credit where credit is due, they turned in a very good performance.

When you look at the remaining fixtures everyone in the Top 6 has to play each other before the end of the season, Peterborough and Doncaster play each other twice, Portsmouth play Accrington twice...etc.
Ultimately all teams will be dropping points, so whilst mathematically the other clubs have the advantage in reality if we keep picking up points and play to our capabilities then I think we'll be in a good position.
It's interesting to note that people that claim to 'over analyze' have a strong tendency for negativity.

That was good to see, but let's not leave out the standard of the opposition.....they were as bad as i've seen this season!
If we don't go to games how are we threatening the youngsters?
At the end of the season the teams at the bottom of the league are scrapping like hell to stay up.

I would say all league 1 teams cannot play out from the back with confidence so put them under pressure around their penalty box and jobs a good un.
