I’d love to see him succeed, but ...
going on his last performance I’d say even that pessimistic view is a considerably better bet than playing Ramsay
Harsh on Ramsay. He won't have Cavani or Fernandes to worry about today, if he plays.

Yeah I'd give Ramsay another go rather than shoehorn someone from another position in.
As long as Armstrong plays we’ll win

Had a dream lastnight that we beat this lot 10-0. They had a man sent off ........

I sent this same tongue in cheek message to my son earlier when I read about their defensive injury crisis. Carroll being the man to be sent off would be the icing on the cake...
How will he get on against Andy elbows Carrol I wonder?
You forgot to include putting the winger into the stands with a ‘shoulder charge’ and avoiding scoring own goals at corners. Ok maybe that was just me.Fullback is one of the easiest positions to give someone emergency, simple instructions to cover. The spanner would always be if the opponent has a tricky wide player, but for positioning for most of the game, it’s follow the touch line and stand next to the wide man (very simplistic I know
I read an interview with Andy Elbows this morning, and he says the stress of not winning games is really getting to him and others.
Affecting his sleep apparently, but not his thinking as he openly stated that if he comes on as a substitute he looks to “smash” a couple of the opposition players to unsettle them. Hardly a secret because his whole career has been built around using his strength to bully players, but if the referee could be on the look out for those challenges it might help.
