I just hope the referee association use common sense and not use this to further punish the club by inflicting them on us more often.
Maybe I don’t understand the rules, but I thought fouls on players through on goal were red cards outside the box but yellow inside the box UNLESS the foul was deemed DELIBERATE or dangerous.
IMO, there was no foul, therefore it was neither deliberate or dangerous, and Mike Dean, having taken the time to go and watch it on the screen, should be hung out to dry for not having the balls or integrity to overturn a bad decision.
Shearer called it last night when he said that Martial dived.
My only fear is that the refs will circle the wagons and Bednarek will end up with an increased ban for what they will term a frivolous appeal.
