Going a man down against a team of expensive superstars that early would test a lot of teams and I never saw the heads drop as much as they did against Leicester. It was like a perfect storm with injuries, a losing run but it was a poor transfer window too.
We need KWP, Big Vester, Oriol and Diallo back asap. I hope that the match doesn't damage young Kayne too much mentally and as for Weird Al well time will tell if he has a future here.

At 4-1 it’s a different game.

Might even have finished 4-1, which would have been respectable in the circumstances.

Yep. This.

Look, this result really doesn't matter. We were always up against it, then Weird Al had a brain freeze, we were getting tonked.

We're not going to sack Ralph, he's not going to walk away. It's a bad result, but it doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things. We'll pick ourselves up, and once we're not utterly decimated by injury we'll be fine.

We're not going down. We'll pick up again. We've been utterly, miserably, ridiculously unlucky in the last two games on VAR decisions (which didn't matter today, but they did in the last game).

I think it's far more likely we'll all walk away because of VAR than Ralph going anywhere.
Exactly the line I took earlier, before 9 were scored (then 4) and I still say the same as you. VAR credibility is in total freefall and any defending by the PL,/FA of it should be treated with total contempt. Bednarek might get his card rescinded or reduced in consequence is a hope I have, the earlier incident should ensure that player does not wear our shirt again. I expected a defeat, possibly 4-0, but given the situation history does repeat itself, unfortunately.
We move on and keep our nerve, as raw as we might feel now, it's how the players, manager and us the supporters react which will determine the immediate future.

Well that was truly awful. Sending off after 2 minutes for GBH, 9 goals against, 0 for, goal disallowed by VAR, dodgy penalty and another sending off, midfield was poor.

Ralph has to take some blame. Redmond should have come on in the first half to help Ramsey for either Adams or Ings as Ings really wasn't doing well on the wing and changed how Saints played to make it hard for United.

Really? Where did you hear this?

I'm sure that's public domain somewhere, I believe Ralph mentioned it in an interview.

This sums it up. It all comes down from our twatty pricky **** of an owner.

As much as Gao is a problem, we shouldn't forget it was Katharina that willingly sold us to him, in spite of the red flags.

Summarised in the studio after the game as ‘despite a 9-0 win, all we’re talking about is the decision making’. I think even they were stunned by some of them.

10 minutes ago I was frustrated that we didn’t go for the shut up shop approach, then went back and saw we had no one to do that, that’s why. Certainly gives some context.

We’re up against it at the moment with the gruelling schedule, hopefully we can catch a break soon and see Ralph back to his happy ways.

But the sooner Mike Dean retires the better.
