Scratching my head at Embleton, I can’t see any sense in it whatsoever.
Great move I think. If he plays very well he’s back with less competition with confidence and experience and a reputation. If he plays just ok people will buy him. If he’s ****e we loan him and bomb him. He’s not quite ready for a start to me though not far off. But I’d bring O9 ahead of him as it stands from the bench.

if it plays like ****e trains like ****e smells like ****e and acts like ****e then we all know even a buffer and polish wont shine up a turd, saying that he will score against us its guaranteed but we are well shot

It is a strange one seeing as he's been getting game time in the first team. I suppose that with him only being 20, his contract being extended and us being well stocked in his position(s) we're looking at the long game for once.

He wasn't getting all that many minutes already and we've signed Jones on top of what we had so he'd get even less at a time that a young player really needs them.

Good window. Speakman and Johnson clearly have a plan and first signs of thoughtful recruitment and development in, well, forever.

Makes me excited for the summer window frankly. With all the contracts expiring they’re going to have tonnes more room for manoeuvre no matter which division we are in. Lower wages in league 1 but I trust them to use it welL.

I had a couple of messages, from two unconnected people, saying this window was more Speakman than Johnson.

I don't detect any disagreement but that would be an interesting situation if true.

good sign that. Way it should be. No point Speakman being here if he’s just going to do whatever the manager wants. They need to be in broad agreement but at the end of the day we need the squad to be capable manager to manager rather than signing players for each manager

Quite looking forward to seeing Maja in the prem, I've got little interest in the league but he's an ex player I want to have a look at. I said when he left for Bordeaux it'd be bad for his development because I thought Ross (or his team who knows) was doing a great job with him.

Left to get on with it in a better team with added pressure might not have been a good move.

Let's see.

This worries me a little the Maja deal. We have a “sell on” clause... However, pinky and perky negotiated it. If the wording isn’t right, we may end up with a percentage of the loan fee and not any future sell on fee from it.

just a worry I have knowing how amateur Dinaldabd Methven were

Seems to be being reported as a standard 20% sell on fee, I haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise. Donald's no genius but his legal people probably know what they're doing.

Worst case scenario we somehow get no cash from it Dreyfus won't bat an eyelid.

Initially, POMO referred to his time here as "my reign" Now he very carefully refers to his time here as "my tenure".
