Who’s 20 stone?
You have it because you’re old, sad, bitter & lazy. Weighed down with a massive envious eyed anger at younger generations who achieve far more & have far more than you ever had or will ever have.

Yes, having no mortgage and owning my own house and a decent pension I am envious of all those younger ones many who will have neither. In fact I feel a bit sorry for anyone 40 and under.
Feel sorry for them? As your whizzing around on your lazy mobile whilst they’re walking, running, being successful & being happy.

Count me out; I own two properties, have a professional career, I’ve been to five of the seven continents, have an intelligent little girl, another on the way and I’m in perfect physical health.
True enough, some of my peers don’t and that’s a shame, but I wouldn’t swap my generation for any of the ones above. Maybe for the ones below, they’ll have it best.
yeah a big fan actually. He’s a true gent, a decent human, does a lot of work for charity, does amazing things in his work as a scientist, decent family guy. What’s not to like??

Good on you. Most of your generation won't do what you have. They won't get the chance to get on the property ladder and will have crap pensions unless in a very limited number of professiohs.
Kids in their teens have less freedoms than those in the 1960s and 1970s. We were lucky because we had more than the ones in the 1950s. Go back to the 1960s and the only reason to be out of work was because you wanted to be.
Being successful? Thoses till living with their mums or having housing benefit pay for their bedsits.
47 years married, unlike some who can't keep a woman, good kids and grandkids, house paid for and a pension that gives me more than a lot get for working a 40 hour week. Able to help out kids and grandkids a lot. Something a lot of younger ones won't be able to do. Though some will get something when property owning parents snuff it.

who are these people you describe? Maybe in Bridlington. Step into the real world, the next generation are normally much more successful than the one before. And with a much better attitude.
Kids lived their parents in your day too.
Even if half of that was true, which I doubt, why so bitter & twisted. Skidding around Brid on a 12v Lazy Mobile affects you? Watching the younger generations walking past eats you up.

I left home a couple of months after my 17th birthday and moved away. Not living with mum like so many do now until they are 30.
Never needed to have to get people to sponsor me to get from a morbidly obese **** down to a merely obese fat one.
Rubbish. Don't judge everyone by yourself and your circle. The vast majority are not in your situation.Or are those in the Labour Party complaining about poverty and lack of opportunities amongst the young aa telling porkies.
It will be even worse for the under 30s sorting out the problems that are going to come because of the current situation.
People of my age with a decent private pension and their house paid for are lucky. Our incomes won't go down, unlike earnings which could. Most, apart from some pubsec workers are going to have the benefit of final salary schemes and even the pubsec ones will diminish.
