I'm all for McGeady playing eventually but surely a better approach would be to get in and sit the playing staff down and sort out the issue with a gradual reintroduction. I'd be really worries if an incoming manager has just made the call for him to play without exploring how we got to this point.

Not sure it's a good move to just tell people to get on with it as it's clear that Denver, Gooch and O'Nien had issues.
You would hope now that Leadbitter has seemed to have time to sort out his issues, he’ll be more vocal in the squad if he sees it happen

I would be very surprised if the McGeady news was what Hunter was referring to. While exciting, it’s just simply a player returning to the match day squad. “Movement” to me suggests progression of something, either manager, DoF, or takeover.

I can’t help but laugh at the fact people on Twitter still find something to complain about after the clubs tweet about McGeady. Saying the club shouldn’t be tweeting celebrating brining a player back. It’s like they forget that we watch football for enjoyment. I enjoyed that tweet. It was great.

Yeah let's hope , I sit in the west stand lower and often heard McGeady screaming at Gooch and O'Nien and shrugging his shoulders.

I'm all for passion when you are setting an example with your effort and performances but he was the problem half of the time.

I mean it really is tremendous news.

He might be useless now - his legs were starting to go and that was a year ago. But he's definitely a canny option off the bench and almost certainly an improvement on current options.

The better news is what it represents.

Wasn't he playing with a broken foot the last time he played for Sunderland, or did I imagine that? His legs going might have been an injury.

he was - so yes very good chance. I wasn't writing him off - just not getting my hopes up for the "old McGeady"
