I really don’t think it’s going to be the Cowleys. It doesn’t fit for me.

Perhaps if the SD is Schwarz we may be looking at people he knows? Henrik Larson might fancy swapping Barcelona for Sunderland? :D

Guess it's not dead till someone else is appointed but I would say is very very unlikely now mate. Very strange turn of events
What exactly went wrong mate? He find out about the sporting Director thing and didn’t fancy it?

You mean Sky could never be wrong ?

Of course they can. But they’re not going to come out and incorrectly categorically confirm that Poyet won’t be joining, AND give a reason, unless they’ve got a pretty solid source. And seeing one of their employees is pretty much running our club at the moment I’d say they do.

Wigan on Satda is a massive game with Lincoln being the week after, can't afford not to beat Wigan. So imo we need a manager in before then as Taylor is just a Parkinson clone. We only interviewed 3 of which one turned us down, one is out of the running so may as well appoint the final one, Cowley, now. No idea why Cook and Pearson aren't being considered though.

The one thing I am thankful for is that fans aren't there so the ridiculous excuse of us getting on their backs isn't an option.

They had about as much freedom to play as a musician in lockdown, hopefully the remaining Parkinson affiliated staff follow him out the door.

Not surprised at all by Gus not taking the job, his interview in Red and White tales (managers) suggests he likes full control. I like the guy but think we dodged a bullet and have rose tinted glasses on. Cowley's are not the answer for me either, we need an appointment that shows intent.

I'll give them a chance if they do get in but we need a manager who isn't going to crumble under the sheer weight of the task, cause it's huge and too many have failed so far for us to gamble again.

good luck with the Covid result marra.

cheers fella, i am an auld bassa and feel pretty much ok, no symptoms...our lass is a worrier as she does our and her dads shopping so been panic stations forher...hope we are all clear if only to settle her down.
more worried about the grand daughter, she has just gone 1 year old and it was her that 'brought it in' on her visit hence us needing the test.
