From my experience though, a lot won't really change. They'll find something else to gripe about, something they can use to bash the new owners with to prove themselves right, or find new targets to go after from players, coaches, academy, commercial side and so on.

Yes,agreed, but along with the change in ownership needs to come a change in fortunes on the pitch. Some will always find something to whinge about, but a sustained period of success will shut most of them up.

They'll do what they did last night ...

... go quiet for a while then come back with a list of negatives.

There's someone this morning laying out reasons why Donald would've fabricated this email.

They're seriously suggesting that saying the deal is agreed will have previous bidders scurrying back at the last minute.

Dear me, this is from someone who claims to be involved in huge takeover deals etc.

It's absolutely pathetic from people purporting to be Sunderland supporters.

less, much less
Just depends on the situation , if everyone felt safe and things were back to something like NORMAL , the side doing OK I think you would be looking at least 18 to 20000 as long as the takeover was behind us . The new owners would need to install some belief and ambition then the crowds will build .

I’m NR of the 12k that renewed before the cut off. Everyone I’ve spoke to will be as well once they can go, regardless of the takeover. I think we’re pretty much down to the hardcore now and would may be only drop to 24k in this division.

When all this reaches its' satisfactory conclusion....hoping imminently!.....they'll be outed and desperately trying to justify themselves before running for cover.
It'll be magnificent to watch! :emoticon-0102-bigsm
They will but they’ll do it behind I pointed out it could be a or b, I was only putting forward an alternative.

the thing I don’t get is why? These people obviously have never bought or sold a major business, where things will change daily until the inks dry on the contracts, there is no logic at all in misinformation being put out, they’re not selling a mark 11 escort, and hoping to squeeze a few hundred out of a buyer, there’ll be firms of lawyers and accountants establishing the worth of the business, the warranties that will be in place, the funding etc etc etc, the work will be massive if they’re professional buyers, given the profile of professional football.

if it doesn’t happen it’ll be because the price or terms are wrong for one party, if it goes through it’ll be at the right price at the right time, not when we would like it to be, sadly other than being supporters we’ve no interest in this transaction at all.

Have just heard that the deal is held up due to the new buyer not being sure if he wants a white or black Stetson with the cowboy outfit he is buying. Sorry lads couldn’t resist. Fed up waiting.

Good post mate, and how it should be.

It's incredible that there are people trying to denounce this new info by seriously claiming it's fabricated by the owners.

They'd rather believe this conspiracy theory than anything else. Every theory has to have some logic and basis of fact but I can't see any here.

The claim is that Donald is driving a campaign of leaking information to deliberately mislead the supporters. It's absolute nonsense

Surely the best way to put off other prospective buyers, who may pay the asking price, is to leak information about imminemnet sale announcements, ndas and exclusivity agreements.

But the naysayers don't need logic or facts ...

... they've made up their minds and want this takeover to fail so they can have their moment of triumph.

Now, that is what's unbelievable.
CatShit is so desperate to be liked he’d rather see the club burn.

He must spend hours going from RTG to here absolutely raging <laugh>

Come on D. White, or black would imply no taste at all really.

The hat should be maroon, with a dark yellow stampede string, always providing of course, that the wearer is able to display an enigmatic, steely stare into the sunset.

He's off on one again over there, backtracking and trying to dictate the mood of the board.

He's attacked me, as usual, so I'll respond on the RTG thread rather than this ...

... there's a good atmosphere on here I don't want to spoil.

Good point and hint taken! <laugh>

Everyone I know that didn’t renew will almost certainly return once the current incumbents have left the scene and when allowed covid or no covid
