If anything does happen, as long as they can get us competing at top end of championship, at that point would hope another sale to bigger backers could occur. Then we can go back to refreshing this page for another year or two

Wouldn't surprise me. Probably in some sort of sweetheart deal where Donald does very well if we end up getting promoted. Sartori would have big questions to answer if he took full control imo. If it's him and Methven I don't think people will be happy at all

dont think JS will be delighted at any sort of grief he gets on Twitter with him being politically focused. Especially if he just runs as is and we don’t get any communication on plans and investments.

That's what I think will happen. Don't think Donald is going to go quietly in the night so to speak. He'll be lurking somewhere in the background in the hope that we get promoted etc.

That's my main issue with him, he doesn't seem to type to see anything through. Gets involved with Sunderland, turns up a few times, says he wants to make a difference, then suddenly he's running for president (which surely he'd have had to have been planning from before he bought into the club, unless it was a spur of the moment thing which wouldn't surprise me). Then he loses, but still becomes a senator, there's talk he'll be here a lot more often and is moving to London, no sign of him.

He also had all this weird **** about bringing loads of Uruguayan kids over when everyone with an ounce of sense knew most would never get work permits (some may have dual nationality). Never happened. Stuff about getting a Uruguayan feeder club randomly, never happened. Just seemed to go on and on about Uruguay and did nowt.

There's just an awful lot of red flags there. Not helped by the fact that no one seems to know how much money he's actually got. We'd need to hear some very clear plans from him if he was going to become the main man. You can kind of let it slide when he's a minority shareholder, but someone with daft ideas like that, who doesn't stay committed to something and is likely to get bored and do something else? I wouldn't trust him here at all. And if Methven stays too its just more of the same. Donald already does nowt now he's stepped right away from things. I'd give him a chance but he'd need to have some bloody good plans that he's actually capable of delivering and for me he'd need to make a statement of intent by bringing in some impressive people, not just being the next man to stand in the shadows and let Rodwell run the club

Here's my guess, and it is a guess.
It will be a complete takeover and it will be What's the Story William Storey.
We've been speculating for months who it is and the answer will have been right in front of us all the time.
Hopefully not long before we find out.

The only thing the club has had to say since all of this is :

William Storey 'not viewed as a credible buyer', according to Sunderland sources
Sunderland insiders say the club is not taking seriously William Storey's purported takeover bid
