I had my first bit of news, for a while, yesterday and asked if I could mention it.
I didn't get a 'no' so here we go.
It seems the first discussion stage is over and its now more technical, looking at contracts, who can be sacked, made redundant, what it would cost.
After that there'd be another discussik /negotiation stage based on the findings.
It's progress Jim, but not as we know it
Sounds positive that they're still talking, but for those desperate to get confirmation that it's going to go through it sounds like we're still a long way off an announcement. I'd rather it was all done thoroughly mind, just the worry that until its announced Donald can still **** it up!

He's got no intention of staying, it's a shame really but I think it'll take him a long time to get over it. He's got to take some responsibility for that like.
I'm sure he does want out, it's whether he can finally accept the deal he'll get without trying to extract a bit more for himself that I'm worried about! It's a massive shame how it's all gone mind. When they came in it all felt so positive. We knew they didn't have much money in footballing terms but the idea of being sustainable, bringing players through, not wasting money in the transfer market any more, it sounded so good and I genuinely thought there was a chance they could get us to the top flight if they were lucky. Instead they didn't really deliver on any of it. Still wasteful in the transfer market, a generation of kids sold off, the openness and transparency ****ed off as soon as questions were being asked. Massive disappointment.
A pretty good summary. They undoubtedly put us into a position whereby we are an attractive proposition to a new buyer but the complete switch off of engagement and transparency as soon as the chips were down was a big mistake. It's all relatively fine margins though, SD has only had 1 full season to get it right and we were so close, the second season might have ended up in promotion if not for covid-19 and being stitched up by the EFL.

thanks for posting this news. Pleased it’s ongoing and no hiccups yet but it definitely seems a lot further back than we all thought if due diligence like this hadn’t been completed yet. This likely means a final price hasn’t been agreed yet and we all know that’s where the spanner is going to come.

My opinion fwiw is that Parky will lead us to automatically promotion this season. Weve a very good squad for Lge1.
And enter Will ****ing Grigg. Yes I know he’s meant to have knuckled down this season etc etc but Stewie spunked a wad of money on him thinking that would get us promoted and it never happened. You could even say that it linked into the piss taking party that was meant to have been shut down. Instead, more ****ing guests arrived.
We cant keep changing manager. I agree PP is not likely to be the person that sees us through the next few seasons but I think he is more than capable of getting us out of league 1 and that is the priority for now. Let's face if and when the takeover happens and we ultimately get promoted there will need to be huge changes needed regardless but maybe its just pre season positivity but I do feel we are in a better position squad wise right now. A couple of early wins and the takeover we could be riding a huge wave of positivity moving forward for once
Yes the EFL stitched us up good and proper.must admit I find it strange that all those clubs who voted to end the season as they couldn’t afford to play in empty stadiums, can now do exactly that to start this season.
