It's unlikely he was settled in Scotland, he's a Southampton player who's just finished a season long loan at Gillingham.

Exactly, none of us know and we all guess ( and some believe) they do.
There are a million reasons why a player is sold/moves/refuses to move ect.
    Some complex, some trivial.
I'm just pleased we have got another young player onboard.

That’s correct. Ternant wasn’t even scouting Robbo originally.

1 year deal with the option of a second year? Strange deal.

He didn't. He won Young Player of the Year - a very different award. His career blossomed rapidly after that, which in turn made him a player that attracted the interest of humble HCAFC. . Prior to that he was essentially unknown. Even in Scotland :emoticon-0105-wink:

We signed him immediately after he won the award and won his first cap, following his first season in the SPL. Stop digging pal, your mates know **** all about Scottish football. :emoticon-0127-lipss

He was sat playing at right back for most of it, and doing a much better job than any of the other muppets who got played there. Lack of effort and commitment is not something LDSL can be accused of. I wouldn't want to play under McCann or work for the Allams

Lack of effort!! It certainly ****ing can be levelled at him and was
Work for the Allams!!! Ffs footballers don’t give a **** who pays their wages.
If the allams doubled his money he’d stay here.

My playing days are sadly over, age, kids and injuries unfortunately

Edit - I can confirm though, that I would've been a better right back than Pennington last year, even though i'm left footed

Let me re-phrase it a bit, it's a different situation for Leo as he has got other clubs interested in him, so he has options as to who he can play for. We know there were bids back in January and that there have been bids in this window too, so he has options on the table, he can either play under McCann and the Allams or someone else. If you had those options as a pro footballer, would you not rather play for another club, one where the owners haven't actively asset stripped and one where a manager hasn't just taken 6 from 56 points

but those were not the main transfers - they were to be developed for the future. We were buying huddlestones, longs, proven players at that level

we have skipped that develop phase & are buying the nobodies to play...........
