Gotta disagree here mate, he played some great passes after winning the ball back.
I guess we all look at different aspects of a players game.

Even if he stays, I can’t see him getting much game time ahead of Matic, VDB and McTominay. Even less if we snatch another CM.

No. You’ll lose heavily when the better teams play well against you, that’s it.

I really think Matic is on his last legs, had a great second half to the season but would not like to rely on him next year.
Like i said, great player and brought composure to the team but is getting a bit long in the tooth.
 
With VDB coming in at United, is Pogba on the move? Strength in depth is good, but not sure how you play Pogba, Fernandez and VDB in the same MF.

Fred got more games than any other CM for us last season. Pereira and McTominay also got plenty of minutes.

Our starting XI after the transfer window closes will be fluid, but Pogba, VDB and Fernandes should all start most games, like Scholes, Carrick and Hargreaves would all start, or like Ballack, Lampard and Cole would all start or like De Bruyne, Silva and Rodri would all start.

Who's the holding player for you though? VDB had played as an attacking midfielder everytime I've seen him.

Actually I get it but it'll be Matic or Mctominay holding with Pogba and VDB ahead I think.

Something like that.

Greenwood is getting benched.

With Fernandes as right side of the front three?

That's our problem, we have no one can properly play off the right, which is why Sancho was such an interesting target. Not sure Bruno should fill in there though.

We're apparently still after Grealish, which would mean Pogba would have to leave as he'd be the one with a genuine sale value. Now vdb is seemingly coming, don't really see the need to pursue Grealish though tbh.

Still think we need to either buy a centre half or bring Smalling back. Then there's the matter of an actual No.9. Either sign up Higalo or find an alternative.

Yeah I don't get how you're going to line up at the moment Fernandez is too good to nail down as a right sided AM.
