That's what Pochettino had in 2015-16, 16-17 and 17-18.. Walker, Rose Tripper, Davies, Eriksen, Maura, Dele, Kane, Son, Dembele, Wanyama, Lamela, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Dier, Chadli, Mason etc all worked thrir bollocks of every match for 90 mins but then one by one with the exception of Kane, Son, Maura and Davies they either became too injured (lamela, Wanyama, Mason) too old for the prem (Dembele and Vertonghen) or too up themselves (walker, Rose, Dier, Dele and Alderweireld). Would rather have a team of fighters than primadonnas. We have had way too msny acting like thst over the past 18-20 months.
Said I thought it looked like you lot were favourites mate, ****ing class signing. £40m seems cheap by current standards too.
Nailed it. We were - as Jose likes to say - a bunch of ****s for a couple years too. Played good football but we had a few that liked doing the dark arts and I love that ****. Dele used to be a massive ****, Dier, Dembele and Lamela all embraced it too. Lamela’s the only one now who still does it - and that’s when he ain’t injured for half a season. I’m still praying that I see Sergio Ramos in a Spurs shirt one day
Really rate Van we Beek ... but with him and Fernandez has to be bye bye to Pogba surely ?... and not before time ...
Nope, probably the replacement for Matic. He can play DM whilst still creating and with McTominay improving all the time and Fred finally showing some form the legs of Matic (great player) need replacing with new blood.
I love Fred, he gives it all. Pereira can **** off with Lingard, both decent squad players or even first team for many PL teams but not quite good enough for us.
Pereira wouldn’t get a game for Leeds. Fred is a grafter but I think he only thrives in a defensive setup. Not for me, he can go.
You underestimate Fred, yes he is good defensively by winning the ball back and breaking up play but he also has a great passing range and plays some great (cute) through balls. The man is a very good player.
He’s defo not a very good player. He worked well in a double pivot with McTominay pre-lockdown and looked nowhere near as good afterwards when we were playing expansive football.
