What happened to Garbutt signing a three year deal? Hope you've a different source for the takeover info!I wouldn’t say it’s been contradicted
It’s just seems to be different time scales
It’s seems me and smug have heard it’s pretty advanced to the point of lawyers and the other 2 have heard it’s still abit longer away
It’s been confirmed by a family member a 3year deal was agreed and wage cap ****ed it but an alternative deal may be reachedWhat happened to Garbutt signing a three year deal? Hope you've a different source for the takeover info!
How many times are people gonna have to be told this. Some people just ready and waiting to jump down someone’s throat because of what someone said that never happened. Does it remind you of another forumIt’s been confirmed by a family member a 3year deal was agreed and wage cap ****ed it but an alternative deal may be reached
No offence to @Guinness Guzzler @Niall Quinn’s Dad but I hope and have my fingers crossed there information is abit behind
I have been itk maybe 2 times in my life and when I shared info on RTG the amount of abuse I got was intolerable, I honestly wouldn’t bother again If I ever did, it’s like a Lynch mobHow many times are people gonna have to be told this. Don’t blame you mate, I’ll never be itk and to be honest just reading what people say I wouldn’t want toI have been itk maybe 2 times in my life and when I shared info on RTG the amount of abuse I got was intolerable, I honestly wouldn’t bother again If I ever did, it’s like a Lynch mob
Everyone knew the wage cap was happening, should have pushed it through if it was agreed. Anyway @Magnus said he was signing after the wage cap. Not trying to say he's lying or anything just a bit concerning that he was completely wrong on that front. It’s been confirmed by a family member a 3year deal was agreed and wage cap ****ed it but an alternative deal may be reached
He was about to as was another player who would have been a good signing but the salary cap pulled the rug from under themWhat happened to Garbutt signing a three year deal? Hope you've a different source for the takeover info!
I have been involved in 2 massive takeovers involving HSBC and Lloyds bank and I can tell you 100% that it’s business as usual, if there is a refurbishment budget for example it will still be used if there is a recruitment drive or cull planned it will still happen regardless of a takeover or even a closure of a department etcHopefully you are correct, and I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am unfortunately. I’m not trying to blow my own trumpet or be billy big time regarding what I’ve said. Maybe some will disagree with the way I wrote it last week, but he’s going no where anytime soon... why sack staff and actively try and hire a head of academy if you are selling? He’s clinging on and intends to do so till he’s backed into a corner and FPP take over. It will happen, and it’s more when rather than if but he’s got a good 2-3 months left, but that’s a long time In football especially with Covid hovering over us all. A lot can happen, but it’s not as close as you believe, but hey, that’s football... it’s all about opinions. Pisses me off what he’s doing with the club, but we have to take inspiration from Leeds, Sheff Utd and Burnley and hope we can perform a Phoenix from the flames once this **** show is over
I don’t think he was mate, the time lines have been checked it’s all in this thread somewhereEveryone knew the wage cap was happening, should have pushed it through if it was agreed. Fecking hell man do you have to be right all the time, why can’t you just accept that someone generally knows something that you don’tAgree regarding an establishment like a major bank with 1000’s of staff members, branches, share holders etc
But this Sunderland with a little man from oxford running us, not a massive Institute like a bank
You still have to operate to the business plan and agreed budgetAgree regarding an establishment like a major bank with 1000’s of staff members, branches, share holders etc

I can't find the post but it was well after the cap had been voted on and it said Garbutt would be in training on a Wednesday and had agreed a deal. If this stuff about two deals collapsing because of the cap we want shooting with ****. We'd known for ages that it would be voted through and we should have got deals done before it happened. Especially if the players were keen.I don’t think he was mate, the time lines have been checked it all in the thread sonewhere

It all sounds very promising, there's just this nagging doubt that Donald may be just stubborn enough to stick around.
