I agree with you...and know you have kids...but it don't always work that way in my experience.... What with people like the ButtHuber family..."masks cause viral activation, my kid/ family aren't wearing it." "My kids aren't wearing a mask, because other kids aren't" My kids aren't going to school, because too many others aren't and we have a vunerable adult at home" Why is my school making me where a mask when my friend in the school down the road doesn't have to All these reasons and excuses will be used. As said...we need very firm instructions from above...and we are not getting them...the government is passing responsibility downwards. And basically not taking responsibility
Well I guess some people are proud of their history. I suppose it’s nice to have a history than to make one up to please a few?
Yeah but that’s not the point though Beth. Personally I think it’s a good thing for heads to have the responsibility....Let’s be honest, if they adopted a more draconian approach then there would be many who would be against that, JUST ‘cos it’s the government. I’m finding that being apolitical is great as it gets me to see the good and bad in all the sides, and not agree or disagree with any one side just ‘cos they are on ‘my side’
Caught in one of his nightclubs after criticising those calling for nightclubs to close. Still, nobody deserves to die.
Interesting figures from Germany regarding the origin of infections. These figures are not foolproof but from 50,000 cases which have been traced the place where infections most often occured was: 30,905 At home 6,393 In hospitals or other medical facilities 5,824 At the workplace 2,280 In care homes 1,953 Freetime activities (this is not specified) 662 In hotels and cruise ships 371 In educational establishments and kindergartens 293 In restaurants 90 When using public transport 6,379 cases could not be identified. Not much you can do about the first case - if someone who lives with you gets it than you probably will, although there are cases where only one in a household got ill. Nonetheless the majority of cases picked it up from a close relation - to be expected I guess. Rather surprising is the low figure for public transport - though tracing in this case would be very difficult. The figures for 'Freetime activities' could cover a multitude of things - some indoors, some outside. But generally the numbers who contracted the disease outside must be very low - so the key appears to be spend as much time outside as possible (this could also apply to schools if the weather is good).
With respect Beth, I'm not convinced you'd ever be happy with anything a Boris Johnson government did.
