Apparently Johnson has decided to cancel Brexit after Sturgeon said it was bad idea.

I read as far as the first half sentence of this drivel namely ''I wish I wasn't correct'' - which in itself is a load of bollocks. It is bollocks because the last thing you want to see happen is that there is an end to this crisis - if there were then you would have to summon up another Qanon conspiracy theory from somewhere. If everything settled down and got back to normal and your 'Great Reset' just didn't happen !! - the truth is that you want this crisis to continue just to fulfill your bizarre prophecies.

Yet more bollocks - there are 17,000 expected for this demo. This is the number which has been registered with the police by the organizers.

Eh ? I was reading that face masks for kids in schools will only be mandatory in towns and cities that are subject to stricter COVID controls ?
Are you spreading misinformation Beth or has that changed ?

They’ll let Scotland leave the Customs Union for a few weeks to see how it goes before committing to a final decision.

No that changed from last night to this morning....look at the first press realeaee

But Gavin Williamson said this morning the full implementation in any school is up to individual headmasters.

So the government is actually transfering responsibility again downwards... complete lack of leadership and straight answers.

Take Birmingham city which was on the government watchlist ( but thankfully the r rate is on its way down currently)...what do schools do there...wait for a full lockdown or take precautionary measures...and when...and when and who enforces it

In fact I don't disagree with it..I think youngsters are fully capable of transmitting the virus, and most will be nearly assymptomatic. The " current folklaw" is that much transmission is through the young...and we only see the effects when an older/ vunerable person gets it.

I would have it fully in place in all areas of social gathering...in playgrounds, corridors halls etc in secondary schools.

It is the lack of solid decisions , confused thinking and constant uturns that gets my goat.

Boris was quick to give his thoughts on Land of Hope and Glory. Give him a chance to think about trivial stuff like this.

This is a real genuine question. Honest I am not making a point

I thought atoat least PART of the reason was that we are currently not allowed to sing in groups .

So land of hope and glory would not work.

    Have I got this wrong

Not taking the governments side, but there was a head teacher on BBC news welcoming the stance from the government, saying that giving individual headmasters the responsibility to decide for themselves a very sensible and wise thing to do......something I tend to agree with.
    Do you agree or disagree?

NB Sorry Beth, could you post up the original press release saying that face masks would be mandatory in ALL schools......I can’t find it anywhere (though if you say that’s what it said I’ve no reason to disbelieve you just I can’t find it)

No singing this year but back next year. BBC did a U-turn ( if that’s what they call it)

Will do, when I can find it too...it came as newsflash on my phone about 10.30 last night.

It was a small paragraph with no provision for choice.

Yes it is good that individual headmasters have the choice...BUT ( in reality) will that not cause chaos if the parent disagrees with whatever the decision is made.

It is why total lockdown worked...and why it didn't work when the edges got fluffy

This is what I received last night it was from skynews breaking news.

Boris Johnson has abandoned advice that pupils should not wear face masks in English secondary schools.

The prime minister performed his latest U-turn in the face of growing pressure from headteachers, teaching unions and medical experts.

But surely whether the a parent agrees or disagrees (which from my experience at least one parent with disagree with ANY decision made by the school), the ultimate decision lies with the headmaster, like it or lump it. If the said parent then decides to take matters further and take their child out of school then so be it....they should be prepared to face the consequences of their actions. It’s really not that hard in my opinion.
