While I think that having the humility to accept that someone outside of the set up might have a skill set/contacts that the club requires is a good thing, I can't help but feel that, because Jones' main priority will continue to be broadcasting, there is an element of hand-holding in his role with SAFC. A kind of admission that no one in Donald's inner circle has the wherewithal to run a recruitment strategyI reckon David Jones due to his experience and contacts will be an invaluable sounding board to the existing staff as well as anyone taking over the club , I think his love for the club is very much a bonus that most clubs will envy . On his appointment he talked about the need to improve the recruitment and the Academy which most SAFC will certainly agree with .
