More galling for me is despite all of our PL spells and absurd amounts of money we’ve had through the club we have absolutely nothing to show for it.

Contrast that with Burnley who built a state of the art training facility funded by PL money. We have a couple of portable cabins and a **** bit of training land. The academy is rented space. They are still in the PL and we are embarking on a minimum of a season in League One.

    Gross incompetence.

We've managed to pay the interest on time against the Allams gift though! That's the gift that's grown since they inherited the ownership!

Gross incompetence is an understatement GLP

Think in a couple of years Irvine will be pining for his days with Hull City to return.

If we don’t top that group something is badly wrong.

How much debt did the Allams inherit when they bought it?

£15,306978.00 was the debt on the accounts before they took over, the Allams first accounts show they'd provided £26m of funds.

And then we had the assertions about lots more hidden debts which came to light after they took over....

I'm sure at the time, the revenue wanted 24 million ish. Papa wrote the cheque for that as soon as the ink was dry on the purchase. But, as you say, a similar amount was lurking in the accounts, for which they provided a guarantee.

I see what you mean but I don't think its dependent upon topping the group. Something IS badly wrong regardless.

So when people accuse them of looting the PL money, do people remember the big chunk they had to cough up at the beginning?

Or do they think the Allams came in at neutral cost to themselves?

They have made unforgivable, monumental and totally unnecessary errors in their management of what was a popular, successful and respected club, to the point that they have caused major damage to it- however that's a separate discussion to the financial one.

"however that's a separate discussion to the financial one". I believe it is. My position has been put on numerous threads, being called an arse licker, defender, whatever, won't change that.

What do you think the £26m was for?

It was a figure on the balance sheet at a given date.

What do you think is the total cost the Allams had to 'put in'?

What do you think the total amount (so far) they have 'taken out'?

Yeah people just jumble up the two things, which are very different.

They are clinical and utra ruthless with money.

They are utterly inept and comically bad with all the other things to do with football. It's almost like their style is on the autism spectrum,

Even now, I have no idea if they understand just how badly they have handled the football side, the fans side and the stewardship of the club in general.

The legacy and goodwill they could have effortlessly had seems to have been invisible to them.

It's not a balance sheet figure, it's a declaration in the accounts of the total put in by Allamhouse to meet trading obligations...

We don't know the total taken out, as that's not clearly shown in the accounts, other than the interest, which by the end of next month will be about £25m.

They've made a £100m asset into a £15m asset, that's certainly quite ruthless and utterly inept.
