How would people feel if we win this? When I first started going to City , it would have been the stuff of dreams and the thought of winning it seemed like the pinnacle of ambition . I don’t subscribe to the side of proper matches, etc , they used to be but it’s hard to get excited when you’ve dined at the top . You don’t celebrate pulling Pat Butcher once you’ve had Rachel Riley
It'd be good to win anything just now, just that it means more money into the Allam's pockets.

Sometimes you reach a point / level / age when any hole is a goal.

Ohhhh I don't know <laugh>

Gift, and, twenty four hours, guaranteed to have everyone banging away on their keyboards. Hasn't it all been said before? Not least of all in the 900 pages and counting of the No New Owners thread. Yes, I am as guilty as the next for fuelling the debate. Like myself, everyone seems entrenched in their views not even a glimmer of conceding, yea fair point.

I await the forensic analysis of both sets of accounts for the true figures. Ain't going to happen, is it?

Yeah, I'm fairly entrenched - my views have evolved over the last 6 or so years to the point where I realise namecalling is futile, boycotting has not had had the desired effect , their actions are what counts (not their words) and we're stuck with them for the foreseeable future.

So i don't worry about the 'uncontrollables' and just try to do my bit in stopping the steady decline of the football club.

While I want us to win any game and winning a trophy of any kind for us would be a novelty , it is essentially a competition we are only in due to massive incompetence and mismanagement so it would feel slightly odd enjoying the fact
...actually I thought I was on the Carabou Cup thread! <doh>
Even though, it would be good to get a trophy (still don’t think we will, but I’m not quite as confident as when I posted that before!<laugh>)

Seems to be working so far.......
