If it's no-one previously unheard of or mentioned I can't see how they've done due diligence as Barnes alluded to. Pile of ****e this imo.

I think the due diligence thing is a bit of a red herring. When Barnes said he thinks it won't be a problem, people have taken that to mean it's someone who has already done it. I think it's just that Donald is the source, and he's always said he thinks the accounts are in great shape so it won't be an issue (and to be fair, the recently released accounts, albeit a year old now, do seem decent on a purely financial basis). Barnes said he thought it could be completed before the new season, which was about 6 weeks away at the time. 6 weeks is normally enough to do quite a detailed due diligence (especially if you have a decent team of people working on it). Personally I don't think that comment ruled anyone out.

CM claimed he and Donald took 2 weeks to do the DD with short... Then look what came out of the woodwork.. Just goes to show what a great deal they thought they were on to and no long term thinking. 5 year plan my arse

Aye, 2 weeks is ridiculous! But 6 weeks gives enough time to get into sufficient detail and do it pretty thoroughly (again, depending on how many people you have working on it).

Yeah you're probably right, I think Barnes has been played a little and a combination of that and people making assumptions (including myself) are narrowing the field when it maybe isn't so narrow. Still be surprised if it's someone that hasn't been previously name though, something would have leaked somewhere unless Micky Gray has managed to get some people together.

To be fair he also went on to say he thinks most of it had already been concluded

Aye fair point, although it's a bit ambiguous as to whether that's something he's been told or just his opinion (saying it "may" have been completed). Suppose we just need to wait and see. I'm glad there seemingly aren't any leaks mind, in some ways it shows that maybe both parties are being professional

Could be that someone's selling Madrox and of course then become owners of SAFC. If that were the case, all the activity would be occurring down Oxford way.

Yeah, I don’t believe sd is trying to pull a fast one to distract people, he could of done that in RAWA meeting, hopefully this time it’s the real deal

Wasn't Madrox originally comprised of some spanish investors, hence the "Madr" part of the name?

If memory serves me right they werent happy with SD and withdrew they're backing. I wonder if they've possibly changed their minds.

Was it Kittens Mittens connected to them ?
