Between his mum and myself we do some reading, writing, numbers n art stuff. Not always...it's not regimented.
He's only 5...I let him roam and be free. He's very good at some PS4 games...knows his prayers and is getting into kicking a ball...he's defo learning things. His spatial awareness is superb...that's thanks to Lego marvel super heroes.
my little un has mastered Lego Star Wars these last few weeks.
and yep agreed, no need to go nuts on the academic side of things. We’re doing loads of stuff together outside and she’s learning all sorts.
went up to an old Iron Age village the other day. She was pretending I was an Iron Age inhabitant and was asking me all sorts of questions about ‘my’ age, and in return telling me all about the ‘modern’ world.
we covered all sorts of topics, history, ecology, science and technology, biology etc. So learning doesn’t have to happen in the classroom.
