Saw somewhere the other week Bournemouth are in serious financial trouble despite the TV money, and that goes for a few other premier League clubs punching above their weights.
I find it all quite sickening tbh. Part of being a supporter, imo, is watching local lads like Rowell playing for your team and representing your area. What pride can a Cockney have in watching Gerrard come through the ranks. Hearing them saying 'our Stevie' man, ffs
one comment, hardly pages of crap like has gone in over the past day or two. Still, any takeover is fantasy land, may as well delete the thread completely.
Aw bless, crack on with it, I’ve lived through the crap with my very own eyes, I don’t need to write about it tho
Well if the EFL pull the plug on the league we may find out something sooner rather than later. All the academy teams are done for the season so we shall see?? I wonder if the season being over may be the trigger for movement. It may also determine how much SD gets for the club?? So many questions and no answers at the moment.
When football started to be shown regularly on tv probably. In my dad's day if you wanted to see a professional football match you jumped on the bus and paid at the turnstile to see it. Him and my uncle would even go and watch the Mags if we were away and the opposition had some good players.
I'm not, it's just boring when people come on asking for threads to be closed ... ... it's like asking for theatres to be closed because you don't like what people are watching.
One of my first games was as a kid on the service bus from our pit village near Mansfield ... ... Man Utd were playing at Forest and there was no way I was missing Best, Charlton and Law. I paid in with the away support, absolutely brilliant and way better than any TV programme.
