I suspect that Ashley will be interested in getting another club IF ours is sold. He's actually more thin-skinned than some believe and would love to go somewhere and get them into the top flight to show himself as wronged by our fans - Sunderland would fit perfectly. I reckon he'd do enough to get you competing for, and perhaps in, the Premiership. I don't like the guy and will be happy when he leaves us, but he's far from the worst owner and has certainly backed promotion pushes successfully.

I've commented plenty on the Saudis, but it is worth mentioning too that we wouldn't be the first team in the Premiership owned by Saudis, and that all the clubs that are floated are likely to have Saudi investors in there somewhere too. It's not the same level, but we're talking blurred lines here and I just don't expect the FA to act.

It's your managers that have had no interest in the cups. Never understood why Saint Rafa chose to put out reserve teams in cups, got knocked out and the owner got the blame. Bruce is having a go with the same owner.

Apparently it's off because the awabs have seen the youtube footage of "Shoes off if ya love the Toon" and have taken it as a great insult against their culture :emoticon-0136-giggl

The last time Staveley was involved I was told Ashley would kick her into touch and was 'furious' with her blabbing.

I posted it a month before it happened and spelled it out, word for word, in a lengthy detailed post ...

... no 'Bob style' hints, just a clear explanation which all came to pass.

I've just asked the same lad about this and his reply was,

'Sorry, I can't tell you anything this time'.

I've run that text through my head a dozen times and it could mean all kinds of things ...

I hope you do the gentlemanly thing and post anything else you hear of your mate ASAP, after all I would hate to see it fall through at this late stage. Lol
