I have to say that if any government, including our own, bought our club I'd be gone.

I've put up with all sorts but that's going too far.

I never thought there could be a situation where I would say I would go but I must say if Saudi money or the like bought SAFC it would kill it for me.

That’s your prerogative. Of course, I don’t know anyone who condones what happens in Saudi Arabia, it appalling.
I await the developments with cautious optimism.
Not a cat in hells chance it will stop me supporting my team.

I can totally understand why some folks morals who stop them going, good on them, but I’m afraid I don’t fall into that category.

    Nor me.
99.9% of our fans would take the owners that you lot are going to have in a heartbeat. The other 0.1% are liars.

For me it's not specifically the morality.

I just don't want the club I love being owned and run by a foreign government ...

... it wouldn't really matter which government.

Be very hard to justify for the F.A. to accuse them of piracy and depriving the Premier league of income, then a few weeks later welcome them into the fold. Then again, this is the money orientated F.A. we are talking about.

I appreciate and understand what you’re saying, but as long as they have the best interests in the club, I’m not really fussed. We’ve been sadly lacking in ambition since Ashley took over. Content with avoiding relegation and no interest in the cups. Our club has been sterile for a while.

Que sera. Been going regularly since 72, one more kick in the bollocks won’t hurt. I’m immune.

And of course that is your right. No complaints, all follow their own principles and conscience.

None of us are immune like.

Won't stop us going, but a kick in the nads is still a kick in the nads.

I do hope this is a particularly painful one for your lot :emoticon-0105-wink:

I can see why you think that, but I think completely different on the matter.

Yes the Saudis haven't been angels, but have our government? We've been involved in more wars than the Saudis in recent years, which has resulted in millions of deaths.

If they were to come in and pump millions into the club and the area, and bring success, on and off the pitch, anyone would be mad to turn their back on it.

The whole area and population within Sunderland would benefit.

I'm not ashamed to say it, but I wish that they were investing in us instead of the mags.

My only hope is that the investment into them encourages somebody to invest in us.

The complained about Ashley for all kinds of reasons, one of them being the way he treats his workforce..... but the Saudis are fine. <laugh>

I’d take the Saudis in a heartbeat. I’d be doing backflips because like the Newcastle supporters, I’d know we are on our way to winning cups, challenging for the league and champions league football.

I’d dance a little jig if we could now get Mike Ashley to take over from SD.
