What personal targets are everyone setting?

I'm looking at relaxation (a bit) of social distancing for May (including golf course being open), junior cricket being able to start June and being able to go on our holiday in August.

Hopefully kids can go back to school June & July.

Nothing else.

Not arsed if football season re starts.

Not bothered about not being able to go to the pub. Not bothered about things like the gym or eating out.

Just need a few chinks of light at the end of the tunnel

I just can't see schools re-opening this academic year. I hope I'm wrong but if there are any social distancing measures at all then they can't really justify it as they're among the worst. I'm chuffed to be in work tomorrow though and sending my kids into school for the day, any break from the current situation is a huge improvement.

Don't think that'll be happening mate.

I'd find it hard to believe any country is going to be likely to lift flight restrictions for tourism by then. Our own medical advisors are saying 3-6 months to get pass this, so summer is pretty much screwed for anyone with intentions of visiting foreign shores.

Still optimistic Dubai in September will be ok. If anywhere is, they will be.

nah this is just going to come right back within weeks of lockdown ending ... its just a case of controlling the numbers through the population until a vaccine is found or weve all had our individual fight with it

I'm not going anywhere until there's a full all clear.

I really hope it's sorted by then, not least because my work will pretty much be the last sector to get back to work. We've already had most events cancel up until the end of July and some even cancel August events. The larger ones will almost certainly have involved government advice.

I think it's good to stay optimistic though, tempered with realistic caution to be prepared to deal with things not being best case scenario.
I know a guy who runs a business that provides casual staff to the events industry. I suspect his business is ****ed and will still be ****ed for a while after this ****show is over.

Depends what the experts deem acceptable. If you’re screened going through customs and you’ve had the virus I can see travel and work being pretty much back to normal for those folk.

I think in a couple of months we will see tests everywhere, mass produced for pennies and they’ll be used to control the flow of people around cities etc. Checkpoints at airports, hotels, bus stations, train stations and so on.

Problem with holidays next summer is that every resort is going to be rammed. Going to save the cash and go somewhere nice.

I think if I can't travel I'll transfer all three deposits over to next year, assuming they'll let me.
That way, already booked. Don't really need to money back, as things stand (that could change though if we go into recession!)
