I’m not saying it’s necessarily right though it must be a heartbreaking call to make but it has happened and will. I don’t think it’s something that differs by country- more of a Hippocratic oath-style code of ethics.

Not that anyone will know who ‘deserves’ treatment when they rock up needing it. Some old people have been out and about and some young people have. Some old people went to Cheltenham and some young did. It doesn’t need to be an old v young thing. It’s just a very unfortunate fact that doctors will be overrun and have to make choices based on a finite resource. I take no pleasure in that.

For me there has been a certain amount of arrogance from young and old for different reasons. The elderly it's the tin hat mentality, the young it's we can't catch it. The problem with the latter is they can! Away from the forum I was shown a shocking report that came out of Italy a week or two back, it helped change my whole perception of what is going on, in two weeks time our dead are going to start mounting up very quickly unless attitudes change.

I'd love to hear from an expert about the case fatality rate - actually, no I wouldn't, love is the wrong word. I don't know if it is just down to the way certain countries have done the testing, but some countries seem to have a lot of deaths in relation to confirmed cases compared to others. Like I said, that may be down to the testing policy of those countries or it may be down to cultural differences. I may be reading it completely wrong, but my gut feeling is that it is hitting us harder than we originally thought. I don't know how much they will tell us though as it may well lead to panic if it is worse than we think, and panic helps nobody. We need to have respectful worry but not panic.

The shelves in our largest supermarket (Tesco) are bare of all essential items, and most fresh produce.

It isn’t this virus that will kill us, it is the greed and stupidity of other people.

What I'm not understanding is where are people putting all this food, they reckon we've spent over a £Billion extra. Surely people must have enough now, and the fresh stuff is not even going to keep!?

I suspect it's both that will kill us, but I completely agree with you about how stupid their greed is. The selfishness of those ****s is astounding.

It’s the same mentality that drives logging companies to cut swathes of the Amazon rainforest, just on a different scale.

It has to stop now, this whole concept of taking without putting anything back, and without regard to the cost...

It's the same stupidity. People go on about saving the Earth but the Earth will be ****ing fine. It's humanity that will suffer, along with a good chunk of the animal kingdom we would take with us. Not giving a **** about the effects of our actions on others.

The die has already been cast. We haven’t locked down early enough. The scenes we’re now seeing in Italy are already destined to be mirrored here in 2/3 weeks time.

Meanwhile we think we’re being clever ramming in a last few pints, because the blitz or something, and queueing up in huge unseparated numbers in supermarkets for hours on end buying ****e we don’t need. The U.K. is full of absolute ****ing morons.

What are these hoarding people going to do with all their expired food once this ****show is over?

I think people are fooking unbelievable. I've purposely not gone near a supermarket, pub or any other populated area for a reason! I saw a week or two back disturbing footage that I can't find to post on here, but it was truly horrific. My guess is London and all it's surrounding areas must near the 10 mill population of Lombardy and it's going to go exactly the same way. Those people that thought it was smart to be going for that last pint yesterday, could seriously be paying with their life. There just is no telling them! Now the warnings are coming out about 20-30 year olds falling serioulsy ill.

Several pubs have been raided in Dublin over the weekend. Police find the places packed wall to wall. Some ****s just dont give a **** about anything but themselves

Fook em, they will not think it was so smart when the army are stacking them up in coffins.

The sad thing is that even though they don't realise it yet, they don't even give a **** about themselves doing that!

Twats who went on TV/internet and addressed the world saying it was all a hoax or a conspiracy didn't help either. Their natural audience is the stupid and the gullible

Those first 2-3 weeks of dithering were so ****ing stupid.
The inevitable public inquiry once this absolute **** show has finally passed is going to be interesting.

The U.K. basically decided that it knew best and it would take a totally different path to all of the other countries who’d had to tackle this pandemic. English exceptionalism at its most horrendously idiotic. Not 2 weeks ago we were being told to ‘take it on the chin’, ‘let it wash through the community’ etc etc etc.

I tell you what Nev, when the fookers are on a ventilator having to have their body turned at timely intervals to help their lungs, they will have plenty of time to think over their actions when they are laying in that hospital bed.
