This is getting serious. I suspect expensive wines will still be available though. Murphy’s Bar, the pub of choice for Leamington’s winos and crack addicts, was doing a roaring trade for Paddy’s Day when I walked past at 4.00. It was like a scene from an Hieronymus Bosch painting.
Not in the slightest, clearly Naked wines has an educated and sommelier class clientele. My observation from the supermarkets is that cheap spirits are in short supply.
I think all the cheap vodka is being bought by smart entrepreneurs who are making hand sanitiser out of it.
Im due to stay at the Courthouse hotel in Soho with the Mrs in 2 weeks time and was gonna visit ‘Zédel’ on your recommendation. Can’t see it going ahead now but still hoping.
There’s a boutique gin distillery round this way which is making hand sanitiser and giving it to those who genuinely need it for nothing. Decency survives!

Tip of the iceberg I think pal. Jnrs college has closed, all courses moved to online, whilst his school is still on but probably be closed by the end of the week. It's worrying for him as he has his final exams in May and is trying to get the grades he needs for Uni. Most of the Universities up here are closed, all moving to online lectures. The restaurant he works in has just called and said that they are closed until further notice, so that will mean me having to fork out to suppliment his piri-piri addiction please log in to view this image
