Went out to the shops this morning with my kids before the midday curfew kicked in across France. Only allowed out now to go to the shops or for exercise. I'll be exercising lots with the kids just to stay sane. The shopping madness has spread to here though...lines outside our local supermarket and massive queue at the tills. I got to the front of the line and the lady on the till rolled her eyes and said, 'we are open tomorrow too if people need things.' Lots of toilet paper on the shelves here though so people haven't gone completely mad.

Does anyone on here know much about pensions ? Just wondering if my old company BA/IAG go under, unlikely as it might be but has been muted, would I still have a guaranteed pension ? Was hoping to start drawing on it in the next few years

Someone on here will know more than me but thought it was guaranteed to 90% of value if you’re below pension age and full guarantee if you’re at that age.

Push the granny anyway though.
Cheers mate......not worried but just wondered after my brother mentioned it.

I’m going for the full house, granny, grandpa and toddler.

It really is a crazy situation. One sister in law works for the NHS as a physio for the elderly, doing home visits. She's had no test or has protective equipment apart from latex gloves! Another sister in law runs the local 'action for older people'. The old bastards are refusing to stop coming out and are insisting on their afternoon tea etc.

The Mrs has the right hump with me at the moment. With all this panic buying she asked me to go out and get some essentials just in case.........you should of seen her face when I came back with 3 bottles of vodka, 8 wraps of cocaine and 5 copies of Razzle.

I’m here all week

You'll end up with a forearm like Popeye if you mix the Charlie and the Razzle

Sweet jesus talk about community spirit and looking out for each other. 6 supermarkets I visited for my elderly mother today in search of a roll of loo paper! Still came home empty handed. Looks like its each for their own out there! Some really selfish bastards!

I went to a local Tescos after work today, just for some milk and one or two other essentials.
Jesus ****ing wept!!
It was like the ****ing wild west.
Most shelves empty.
People frantically marching around trying to get whatever they could.
Road rage everywhere.

We are not a nice society.

It’s ironic that a few weeks ago we were all being told to ‘be nice’ to each other after Caroline Flacks death.......and now we’re willing to club each other to death over a pack of bog rolls and a jar of jam.

Same at my local at Elmer's End this morning, shelves stripped bare throughout and queues like you normally see on Christmas Eve. The only thing there was plenty of was packaged salads and veg. I didn't bother staying...
