He don't give a **** about safc, he's only interested in being a smug ****er. Probably having a right old laugh with his mag mates.
You know I’m no happy clapper but I support my team and the sometimes crap players playing for them We must get behind our team and support them, not run the management team down. You would think some of these dickhead supporters knew how to run a team However, we all know that they can not
I have been following SAFC for over 40 years and in all that time we have had, with a few brief exceptions, poor Chairmen/directors, poor managers and poor players who in turn produced poor results. I can safely say without fear of bias that the numbers of people paying to watch these successive failures is inordinate to the number of people they deserve. In other words our fans have been the one CONSISTENTLY good thing associated with SAFC.
Yesterday we're told the club will be sold by the end of the month. Next day the 'most likely' buyers are removing their company from Companies House....I dont know who is buying us but something is definitely happening in regards to the sale. Still exciting times imo.
It's exciting if you believe mate, which I do. If you don't it must be dreadful. Hoping it all falls apart means you need to be sectioned.
Relentlessly humourless and bitter ... ... has had his party poppers gathering dust praying I was wrong. Never a Sunderland supporter in a million shyte posts
This. Obviously we don't know why they've dissolved the company but we do know that at one point they intended it to hold our shares. Now, that was before the loan to Madrox. If there was any chance of it being used later on to hold shares, it would make sense to keep it active. So either a) they're going to buy Madrox to deal with the loan, and getting rid of FPP Sunderland is just tidying or b) Donald is selling, the new people don't want them involved so it's never going to happen. Either way it ties in with the club being sold by the end of the month. I'm a bit torn on what I believe now mind. On the one hand if they were buying us, even by buying Madrox, I wouldn't have thought there would be any great rush to dissolve FPP Sunderland, so that leans towards them simply pulling out. On the other hand we do have some fairly well connected fans, whether that be on the message boards or even the likes of the fanzines and RAWA who apparently have remained in contact with Donald since the statement. None of them have seemed to suggest any party getting near to the club. Is it likely a group could have been in there doing due diligence, agreeing a price and not a whisper? Maybe it is possible but it would surprise me. And that leans more towards the people who are already involved being the active parties here. Could be FPP, but equally RR posted an entirely speculative article about "what would people think if Sartori took over". At the RAWA meeting they said that several interested parties (around the time of Mark Campbell) had contacted them to discuss certain things, it could be Sartori and they were testing the water. God knows but I feel it'll be resolved very shortly
No one seems to be getting too excited tbh, it just seems to be a means to an end. In all honesty I've had nothing worth posting other than opinions. It seems to have come out of the blue but nobody seems bothered ... ... as someone said, if they were no longer interested, or Donald had repaid the loan, there was no need to instantly quash this company. Therefore it's more likely it's been done because something is happening than because nothing's happening. NB, these aren't my words or opinions, just passing things on.
Seems to me they're just tidying up. It's the only UK company these boys own. It's just a word to the lawyers and the ties are severed. They're gone Next.
I also feel like we're entering 'end game' here. As @Guinness Guzzler rightly points out, this was an SPV set up pretty much entirely with the purpose of investing in us. It would be a little bit odd to shut it down and buy it another way now. Looking at SD's takeover, there was a delay of around 2 weeks between the first takeover related documents going onto Companies House and the more substantial documents. Given we don't know what is going on, I reckon we're days, rather than weeks away from something being confirmed as 'close to completion'
Cool, cheers mate. I think there'd be more noises if it was something negative on FPP's side. It could signify a positive move or just be a piece of housekeeping while FPP watch for developments.
Why would Sartori buy SAFC if Donald is ****ing off? I don't buy that one. We'll soon find out who our new owners are
Nobody knows if the quashing is instant btw. It takes about a week minimum to get stuff filed on CH, I'd say we're a lot further on than this indicates. FPP must have made whatever decision they made at least last week.
