It pretty much is, you've still got to pay market value for the company you're buying, in fact Labour have expressly said they'd pay market value (not that I believe them).

I have to say in all my life I've never read so much **** as I've read on here - no more politics thread please - everyone will fall out with each other - one or two posters need to get a grip - anyone who thinks Corbyn will make a great PM is an idiot - anyone who thinks Johnson will make a great PM is an idiot - anyone who thinks Swinson will make a great PM is an idiot - get a ****ing grip all of you - it's all a load of **** and whoever gets in doesn't give a **** about you an that's a fact

Market value today isn’t the same as market value when you nationalise a company.

I can’t think of one poster on here that thinks Corbyn will be a great PM. Same with Johnson.

I took a friend into emergency two days ago - it was full up - not Hull - after a few minute the nurse in charge came around and spoke to each person individually - after she' d finished most left leaving 5 people only - most had no right to be there - many waste ambulances or no .good reason - hospitals are creaking because there are so many idiots blocking them up - the nurse who sorted this gets 100% respect - every hospital should clear out the time wasters

There are one or two with very entrenched views, and aggressively project them. But by and large it's been interesting.

PS - nationalising the railways wont cost anything. They are simply going to stop letting franchises to Dutch and German state railways and get our state railway to run it instead.

It's not wholehearted support, but it's as good as you're going to get from a right-leaning Newspaper.

"To those candidates who share [internationalist, pro business and pro Europe] values – and are ready to fight for them – the FT lends its wholehearted support."

I'll be voting tomorrow but it will probably be in vain.

On the south bank we have a dinosaur of a Tory MP. Always votes against equal rights for LGBTs, against the environment, for the rich and against the poor. He was one of only 14 MPs to vote against teaching kids that not all families are mum and dad. Hes always been **** but somehow gets a massive majority.

£58 a day,**** me that's not bad!! I lost my agency job 2 weeks ago (well actually I told the company to ram it because they refused to pay me on parity with their full time employees after the 12 week qualifying period),haven't had any dole money yet and that may well be subject to sanction, the wife works part time and brings in £500 a month.

Anyway me,the wife and 3 grandkids just had chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas and gravy, cost about £6 all in.....Poverty,she was down the chippy with her 3 kids to 3 different father's waiting for her fish and chips getting wrapped.

Not sure of the details so happy to be corrected but doesn't the state still own the tracks and stations and the franchises have the trains?

So the state would have to buy some trains and be quick about it.

Would it be wrong to introduce some sort of intelligence vetting for voting? There is a chap on one of the local spotted Facebook groups who genuinely believed Corbyn worked closely with Hitler <laugh><laugh>

No that’s wrong. The trains are owned by leasing companies. Who will lease them to the state railway just the same, until they are life expired.

That’s why I’m voting for Pattie. Between those three and Pattie, Pattie is the outstanding candidate.

Anyone heard about the postal votes situation.

Laura K has apparently reported 'they look grim for Labour'. Not good but not a massive surprise given the polls and who tends to use postal votes.

However, some are claiming this revelation is a breach of the law. Although, I can't see much coming of it.

But, the news seems to confirm this absolutely Johnson's to lose now.
