Two excellent books I've read are Executioner. Pierrepoint and The Hangman's Tale by Syd Dernley. When Pierrepoint was ten he had to write a school essay about what do you want to be when you grow up, and he said Public Executioner.
The Pierrepoint film is excellent too. Timothy Spall is such a fine actor. Two excellent books I've read are Executioner. Pierrepoint and The Hangman's Tale by Syd Dernley. Also genuinely decent unassuming man.The Pierrepoint film is excellent too. Timothy Spall is such a fine actor.
Winning the election is simple for the Tories. Get in a few soundbites like Get Brexit done, Dither and delay, then start talking about Jeremy Corbyn. And don't mention the last 9 years.
Depends what stats you look at. Your party are keeping quiet about their record on austerity, distancing themselves from it even. A bit like 1992 when they threw out Mrs T and fought the election as a new government under The Grey Man. And look at what happened to the economy after that. The next 5 years will tell whether it's been worth it.Economically, the last 9 years have been very good.
Anna Soubry was caught doing something similar.
Wasn't she rattled? I'll be watching from behind the settee tonight.Brillo absolutely destroyed Nicola Sturgeon last night. The NHS Scotland questioning was a masterclass. It put her thru the ropes.
He’s got the Magic Grandpa at 7pm tonight.

Spare a thought for the candidates and activists from all parties who are pounding the streets in this election. Believe me, it is hard work in November/ December. Spring & summer elections can be quite pleasant, but you need real dedication to your respective causes to be doing this in the dark, wet and cold.
… Postpeople, Binpeople, Delivery people, Farmers, Fisherpeople.. the list is endless... even footballers have the same problem!Yes Royston... a lot of working class people have that problem all their working lives… Postpeople, Binpeople, Delivery people, Farmers, Fisherpeople.. the list is endless... even footballers have the same problem!
