I wonder if Tom Watson's shame and embarrassment in the dreadful part he played in the bogus VIP abuse scandal has contributed to his demise? He is yet to fully apologise for the excessive and misguided pressure he put on police officers who also fell for the fantasist's lies.

There is a new moderate left of centre party called the Labour Party (now that the Tory Blairites are finally realizing they don't belong there) - far left is myself and the Tooting Popular Front.

If you wish to see a very successful left of centre to right of centre party, you need to look no further than the achievements of the Tory government led by Harold Macmillan. A government that provided housing, raised living standards across the whole country and realised that cooperation with Europe was far better than trying to believe it was still a world leader with an Empire.

That sounds remarkably like Boris Johnson's future new government.

    Snowflakes! <laugh>

Satirical observation before anyone gets their knickers in the twist... especially as it usually lands from the right.

Ken Clark has a habit recently of being in a tiny minority.

I think that he has been a MP with more than enough support from both left and centre to keep the small bunch of right wing cultists at bay.

Looks as if the successful policy of just putting up a single pro-remain candidate is slowly coming together with 60 seats now in that state. We will wait to see where they are and if Corbyn will see sense if he wants to stop a Tory majority.

I don't think that an electoral pact is actually necessary Frenchie, because in the present climate people will use their votes tactically anyway.

Former Labour Minister and MP, Ian Austin, has advised the electorate to support Boris Johnson and vote Conservative. This comes after the shock resignation of the moderate deputy Labour leader, Tom Watson. He has described Corbyn as 'completely unfit to lead the country'. Laura Kuenssberg says the advice to vote Tory is 'quite something'.

Just the kind of message and advice the millions of Labour 'patriotic voters in the North require. The BBC's Chris Mason has described the advice as "astonishing" and "incredible".

Labour voters should back Johnson - ex Labour MP
