You are right about passing responsibility on to others. There are many examples over the past 10 years of government, not only in construction, failing to take responsibility for things it should. Hand out contracts, then forget about them, and leave the taxpayer to pick up the bill when it all goes wrong. You often say there is waste in the NHS, and I know that it does exist along with corruption from its suppliers, but whenever there is a major problem it is not the fault of government, but some trust. Railways don't work for the commuters, but it is the fault of the company that won a contract. So it goes on and on. Failing Grayling gives ferry contracts to a pizza line. What the hell is that about? Could it have been anything to do with who he knew? Contracts given to ports, then no ferries, so the council tax payers can pick up the bill for monies spent. Why did my old County Council go bust when it had nothing left to sell off? Nothing to do with central government starving them of cash of course. Where were the MP's from the county when it collapsed? Nowhere to be seen. Take responsibility for what had been partly their fault. Not likely!

I can't remember the exact number but there are still lots of high rises with the same cladding. The government said it wouldn't happen again, but only luck has stopped it so far.

There are approximately 170 privately owned blocks of flats with this cladding that must be replaced. Two years on and the government is setting up a committee to look at the problems on building regulations.

    Tories in the news TODAY:

    1) Fabricated and doctored video to smear Labour opponent on social media.

    2) Refused to release report on Russian interference in our democracy.

    3) Abandoned promise to give MPs a vote on transition extension.

    4) Report reveals they built zero affordable homes out of 200k promised.

    5) Rees-Mogg blames Grenfell victims for their own deaths because they "lacked common sense".

    6) Tory MP Bridgen says Grenfell victims died because they lacked intelligence.

    7) Passed legislation which could effectively gerrymander future elections while most Labour MP's who would have voted against it were away preparing for the election campaign.

    8) Rape victim called for Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns to quit.

So no comment about the contents of his post, just some unfunny 'joke' about raffle tickets.

Have you ever tried to debate before? You might even learn something.

So when confronted with a post you can't answer, you resort to deflection. Any comments about France to add?

Or how about to try to defend the behaviour of your beloved Tories?

I pointed out France's debt mountain yesterday, we don't want to annoy those that have to live there. The latest polls put the Tories so far ahead they might as well just give the Tories a 50 seat majority and forget the election.

Soundbites and no answer. Nothing unusual there.

Just admit you're only posting on here to aggravate people and I'll stop bothering answering any of your posts <ok>

On a side note, Tory press office doubles down on the Starmer video where they were caught lying
