The far left anti-semite Labour MP Chris Williamson has finally been kicked out of his seat and will not stand at the general election. Labour MP Dame Margaret Hodge has tweeted 'Good riddance'. Should never have taken 10 months to get to this point.'

The leading Jewish scholar and activist Noam Chomsky has stated that there was ''nothing even remotely anti semitic'' in Williamson's comments. He also has the support of Jewish voice for Labour on this - if you have any quotes by him which suggest that he is an anti semite then produce them rather than regurgitating this rubbish ! It is another sign of your absolute lack of an agrument that you have to resort to this - along with other Tories who spend 99% of their time finding stories about individual opposition politicians rather than developing their own argument.

Please kindly explain why he was suspended by the Labour Party and why Labour's National Executive Committee has blocked his return.

Conservative candidates in the general election will be told not to sign up to specific pledges on protecting the NHS from privatisation and trade deals or tackling climate change. However, supporting shooting is allowed “as an important part of rural life.

All sounds as though we are being prepared to become the 51st State.

For his comments about the party's response to criticism over its handling of allegations of anti semitism within the party. He accused the party of being too apologetic, of buckling to external pressure, and of not going on the front foot on this - all of which I would agree with. Corbyn should just say - ''We are not stifling criticism of Israeli political policies - if a government is employing racist policies we will condemn it as such'' end of story - Corbyn has buckled too much on this.

This could have the gone on the political correct thread...
Because that is the power of the Zionist lobby which masquerades as something else.
Meanwhile, and I have a piece of video. Israeli border guards just shot in the back a Palestinian walking through border controls... Outrageous

So he was an embarrassment to the Labour Party and an electoral liability so was ditched. I'm sure there was also pressure from Labour's Jewish groups. Fiona Sharpe, spokeswoman for Labour Against Antisemitism , said 'The decision of Labour's NEC ruling body not to allow Chris Williamson to stand as the Labour candidate for Derby North is too late in coming and totally inadequate. Mr Williamson should have been expelled from the Labour Party years ago, when his views first started appearing in public'

Can you quote one sentence from Chris Williamson which you regard as anti semitic ? Simply referring to what others have said is not enough because we all know that there are elements in the party who want any handy stick to beat Corbyn with.

Fiona Sharpe, Labour spokeswoman also damningly stated " Acting at the eleventh hour in this haphazard way just appears to show that the Labour Party can't be trusted to protect the minority communities it purports to stand up for"

Wow, strong stuff from within the Labour Party.

Momentum has shaped the NEC to their advantage, you need to ask why they have sacrificed one of their own. It is not what I think, it is what Jewish people and the NEC think. Clearly they find him an anti-Semite

re-read my last answer, it is for others to decide his culpability, which they clearly have.

Shame we can't discuss this serious issue.. Without hiding behind party politics and political correctedness.

Many of my friends who I have discussed this with have no truck with what he has said SH... What is the issue for you?

Given what people get away with saying about Muslims...

I'm sure the NEC of the Labour possess enough knowledge and experience to study the evidence laid before them and come up with the correct result.

Are some contesting the ability of the NEC or underhand motives?

Our poll is showing 6 left wing votes and 8 right wing votes but I only see one right wing poster, where are the others? It would help balance the discussion.

These polls are open to all Scully - there are many 606ers who drift from one forum to another so there is no guarantee that they're all hornets.

Tom Watson's resignation is the culmination of Momentum's infiltration and final success in taking the Labour Party way to the left. He was the unspoken leader of the ragged remnants of the Blairites who managed to keep some degree of sanity within the party. I sure the millions of moderate Labour voters will feel even more disenfranchised now. With the LibDems committing themselves to the undemocratic decision of revoking Brexit there could be the space in UK politics for a new moderate let of centre party.
