Good point 55.
We can't be sure if a goal is going to stand or not, but we won't be worrying about that in League One.

I’ve a feeling the Premier League will nail it though.
They’ve already been very clear about what will and will be referred, they’ve stayed the decision process will be shown in stadium on screen.
I think we might get a pleasant surprise at how efficient the PL version is. Let’s be honest, as a league, as a brand, as a product, they know what they are doing.
We might not like the money, the imbalance etc, but we cannot argue that the ****ers know how to run the show. They nail it.
But fans wont be able to celebrate a goal with full satisfaction anymore until the game has restarted.
Yeah I’m sure they said goals will only be referred in certain situations, for example an offside. In a scenario whereby it was immediately ruled out then given.
In essence you’d be gaining a goal celebration, not losing the joy. The Copa America has been a shambles for it frankly. I might be clutching at straws but I can’t see us getting it wrong.
In Italy it’s still terrible and laboured, whereas in Germany, they’ve had it 2 years, first season was slow last season it was almost instantaneous.
I will say, as I always have, that controversial decisions have always been a part of the game, and a good part.
Arguing over them is a massive part of football that we may lose, which is a shame.
That said, teams being relegated on poor decisions etc isn’t all that. I’d rather we didn’t have it, but it’s here for keeps so we just gotta hope we get it right.
But it would be natural that the moment the linesman puts his flag up for offside a defender could relax, allowing an attacker to find it easier to put the ball in the net. If they then went to VAR and realised that it wasnt offside, then a goal be given, that would leave a nasty taste in the mouth for the defending team. I know that its drilled into players at an early age to play to the whistle but for a team to potentially benefit from a poor linesmans decision is a bit iffy.
I agree with that, but then maybe it makes defenders better, makes the game better in a way.
There’s a hell of a lot of wrong offsides which nobody really discusses as ball was out on wing etc, could and should see more chances and goals.
The concern is defenders playing really deep to negate it, but then that would open up the midfield and we’d maybe see more 30 yarders.
We gonna need to wait and see I guess, but it’s happening so it is what it is.
... has replaced referees as a Monday morning talking point.
People used to discuss whether the referees had made the right decision, now they're asking the same questions about VAR.
In reality it's just another referee, under pressure, looking at an incident, and as we've seen, some incidents are less clear from multiple angles such as the Deli Ali handball.
In the studio the pundits are regularly disagreeing about the VAR decisions so what's the point of it all.
It just slows the game down and takes the fun out of goals ...
... a 3 minute delay to be able to celebrate a cup winning goal would kill the thrill for me tbh.
Yeh and as said before
It should only be used for goal line technology
Leave the rest to the referee and his linemen
I was for it initially but now I've seen it in action I don't think it's been a success and it never will because just as it was with one ref it's still leaving things open to interpretation. If it's not getting it right 100% of the time then it's not worth it.
The worst thing about it is having to wait for goals to be verified, it's totally unnatural for the emotions of the players and the fans.
Just goal line decisions for me and the rest can bugger off. Failed experiment imo. I wonder if they would remove it or if they'd feel like now they've dived in they can't ever back out.
Yeh and it’s all we needWe've already got GLT which has been spot on butt rarely used
