Just read a stat that we've conceded 2+ goals in seven consecutive league games. The last time was in 1990. We haven't kept a clean sheet in the league since Dec 18 v Forest away.

Thought this was a much better performance than Reading and Brentford, plus really like the look of Lee Wallace. So much more energy and fight today. I will be attending Middlesboro game, saw tow previously (victory boxing day ? last year and a 5 - 1 home defeat some 10+ years ago.
This was tactically one of the worst performances in my opinion. A cold wet Elland road and a performance that was just as damp

Having had time to reflect on today's game, i have come to the same conclusion. ****e!
The back 5 and it was a back 5 for the majority of the game just didnt work out tactically. I felt sorry for Ball in midfield. Eze when in possession was a class apart from anyone else on the pitch. Chair was not really involved in the game and he was doing the job of what Scowen maybe should have been on the pitch for. Wells and hugill were pretty poor up top but had little service due to lack of any width in the opposing half. What really annoyed me today was, Kelly playing a 2 yard goal kick to Tony all the ****ing time. He was then put under immediate pressure and played it to either Manning or Rangel. With nobody infront of these players, possession either went out of play (on numerous occasions) or into a midfield area which leeds totally dominated. We just put ourselves under constant pressure by doing this. On the odd occasion when Kelly kicked it ( which he doesnt seem to do that well with) our 3 centre backs were not even out of the 18 yard box when the ball was coming straight back to them! This was a game crying out for Samuel and I was dissapointed not to see him come on. I always think we look dangerous when he attacks. I've had loads of texts from my Leeds supporting friends. The main theme of them was their recognition of the talent in our no.10.

I think all or most were in the 30 minutes or whatever it was before he got treatment.
That's not entirely true. His best came in the 2nd half with a beautiful nutmeg in front of the Leeds fans. The recognition this lad is getting from my leeds mates really does worry me for his future at QPR. This lad is destined for great things

Let's hope it's with us! He has an amazing ability to create space for himself. But he needs more protection from tougher Derry like midfield players around him (don'tknow we have anyone good enough to do it though Amos at his best and fit may), and that the Captain/ senior players get in the Referees face about the very tough treatment he gets. He was kicked /pulled over ever time a Leeds player could get close enough that first 30 minutes or so yesterday, he got quite a lot of free kicks, but just the 1 yellow, and I didn't see us complaing to the Ref like the opposition normally do when their ball players are handled like that.

maybe in Jan transfer window, a little more money might be available for areas that require strengthening. After all, this is still a relatively newish team getting to know each other. Once the opposition work out what they can get away with then they will. And if only we could find another Shaun Derry midfielder who could be the enforcer at the middle of the pitch

I would agree but he cant pass a ball.
May be. But until we shore up the defence another way, I'd rather have the better defender than the better passer of the ball. It's fine conceding two a game if we're regularly going to score 3 or more but we wont'. Certainly not against the sides in the top half of the table.
