After a disappointing Monday night under the wretched Sky cameras, I'm desperate for a response, but I'm afraid this is one of those head over heart games...let's try and muster some hope though... After closer inspection of the league table...yes they are 3rd, but they have only scored 17 goals this year, that is 7 less than us and joint lowest in the top 10 (alongside Forest who are 10th). We, on the other hand, have conceded the most goals in the top 10, actually, we have conceded more than any other team in the division except bottom of the table Barnsley, who have let in 27, so 1 more than us. We've also scored more than any team outside the top two, which has been our saving grace, but they have only conceded 8...best in the division by some 4 goals. All that to say...Saturday presents us with a great opportunity to work out how to defend...whilst hopefully the attackers will undo a good defense, and continue to deliver the goods. Basically, they don't usually score than many or let in that many, but we do score lots, but also let in lots. Anyway, those are my initial observations...enjoy those who are going and... QPR: Charlie Owens (knee), Yoann Barbet (hamstring) Leeds United: Adam Forshaw (hip), Patrick Bamford (ankle), Gjanni Alioski (side), Barry Douglas (knee) COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Think we might have to play in our fuschia 3rd kit as there won't be enough contrast between their all white and our all mint green kits......especially for those watching on black and white tv's
One to remember for one of THE best ever goals scored by a Ranger, Roy Wegerle's dribble in a 3-2 away win back in 1990
Seen us win there 0-1 in our play off season. 5 R's got on the plane in Dublin and were surrounded by 150 Leeds fans. They were all making comments about how they were going to beat us. On the way back, they were rather quiet. We can beat them again. Talking to a Leeds fan the other day and they are already talking about how well they will do in the Premier League due to the size of their support etc. I told him, they have to get there first. If we attack them from the off, we can get a surprise result.
Why not? Seen us play away in that strip many times before, and no colour clash problem with all white surely? Think if their is a problem it will be from the sponsors of our away kits.
Still pondering making a dash up there on a whim but see it’s been made all ticket for no reason whatsoever
i thought it was aqua now you say mint green or fuscia which is it some people travelling up for their first visit to leeds need to know
I'm sure if they pop into the Peacock on Saturday with their replica kit on the locals will let them know what it's called
we need a bit more steel in the side for this one. Wallace at left back and move Manning into midfield. Unfortunately, can't see anything but a defeat, just hope we show a bit more than we did against the Bees
That was my first ever live game. One that I will never forget. If I remember correctly, Jan Strejskal was making his debut.
