I don't think Donald does have any money left to invest, hence all the free agents. Four mil well spent would make a big difference.

IIRC Satori paid £3million for his 20% stake, they’ll be getting a canny chunk of the club based on Nixon’s “story”.

I’m still hoping for a full takeover to rid the club of Donald and his Merry men.

sell grigg in January for say 10 million to boro or the like buy maddison for 4 million Bob's your uncle

I'd tek £10 for him, he makes Phil Gray look like Messi!

FYI I know he's 'proven at this level' me da tells uz that every other week, won't have a word said against him.

Nicked from over the road.

There is money coming in from the Americans. About 4m. This is due to help this season. Then assess after that. Interesting to see how it is described. By them. https://t.co/jsVoExjFJB
— Alan Nixon (@reluctantnicko) <a href="

If this is true, it will be interesting to see how it's described. I'm presuming £4m is effectively the price for 10% of the club.

If, as Nixon suggests, its more of a one off funding then it is both bizarre and raises so many questions.

Donald and Methven are going to have a lot of explaining to do.

If Donald is scraping around for 4 million it just goes to prove he hasn’t got the money to get us out of this league

I think he thought he had, I think the fee for Grigg was possibly an 'all in' gamble to ensure promotion last season?
To be fair if it had been either well spent on someone else or Grigg had delivered it would have worked.

The agreements paying off of the high earners and their replacement with people who didn't require and much of a fee might point to a bit of belt tightening due to the gamble not paying off?

It's a weird proposition, and Nixon has obviously known things were happening but he's not been great on getting the details right.

So who knows?

He's still got our parachute payments that he's "prepared to put in as and when the club needs it" according to podcasts.

There's so many questions to be answered if this is true.

It will also be interesting to find out why they took this deal when they told us they had multiple good offers for the club all summer long and would do the deal that is right for us.

I just can't believe that this could be true.
